In reply to: [Download Manager] Include excerpt or description field?Hi @nriddhi, thank you, I cannot see a parameter in any of the shortcodes to include the file excerpt or description field… am I missing something?
However, it looks like if I assign a specific template, for example template=”link-template-default-ext” which includes the excerpt field, that seems to work.
Just checking there definitely isn’t a parameter to just include the file description directly in the normal shortcode?

In reply to: [Neve] Footer Menu mobile?Hi @mara3 thanks for investigating further, how strange. For reference, I am using a bitnami lightsail instance on AWS hosting. But I have several other sites also configured on this hosting where this issue is NOT occurring. It is only occurring on this one instance. I too am having trouble replicating it. The only thing I can find that’s different is that I’m using a child theme this time, but as I mentioned, the issue is also occurring when I switch to the parent NEVE theme.
Thanks for lodging it with the product team anyway! I will keep an eye on the github thread.

In reply to: [Neve] Footer Menu mobile?Hi @mara3 , hmmmm strange. Maybe I should note that I AM using a newly configured Neve child theme, could that have something to do with it? However, even when I switch back to the parent theme, the issue still persists. The wordpress version is 6.6.1 and the server is running PHP 8.2.21. Let me know if you need any additional info? I’m also happy to provide you admin access, since the site is brand new in dev, there’s not much of it built yet.

In reply to: [Neve] Footer Menu mobile?Hi @mara3 hmmm how strange! Here is a screen recording showing the issue, this site is brand new in development, I haven’t even added any content to the pages yet, I’ve only started building the header and footer so far, so I feel a plugin conflict is unlikely?

Notice in desktop mode I’ve got placement for 4 footer widget areas PLUS the footer menu. When I switch to mobile, it shows the 4 footer widget areas and then I go to add the final one and it says there are no more available, even though I haven’t placed the footer MENU yet.
This is the site in development on the front end, for your reference: https://ausdance.saranyadesigns.com/
Let me know your thoughts?

In reply to: [Neve] Mobile menu won’t scroll in desktopWonderful, thanks @mara3 for escalating this issue ??

In reply to: [Neve] Mobile menu won’t scroll in desktopHi again @mara3,
So my instinct is correct, it does appear to be a z-index issue, if you’d like to tell your developers? There is a pseudo :before element on the #header-menu-sidebar-bg that is covering the scrollbar. if I change that :before element to a lower z-index that the #header-menu-sidebar-inner – then I have access to scroll the bar using the mouse click. here is another screen recording for your reference:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V7Rbfn7dHf3QoIuCD1__OzCx1b_6JxaT/view?usp=drive_link
However, once I change the z-index accordingly, then the X close button for the sidebar menu no longer works… so there becomes a new issue.
Please advise?

In reply to: [Neve] Mobile menu won’t scroll in desktopHi @mara3,
Confirming all software is up to date and there is no caching setup on the site at all.
Also confirming I have now tested the issue in the following browsers with consistent results across at least 6 sites that are all built in Neve – all with completely different sets of plugins, so no conflicts. Also, if you’re saying you’re not having the issue, then it’s obviously not a software conflict?
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Duck Duck Go
- Microsoft Edge
In all cases, I am able to use the scroll wheel on my mouse to make the content inside the navbar scroll, however, if I try to CLICK and DRAG the scrolling sidebar, it does not engage. This is consistent across all sites and all browsers. Here is a screen record to demonstrate for your reference, in case I am not explaining it well:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tZsxrFL3XjQGmE3V6AKR7vsdL9kfZSCn/view?usp=sharing
To me, this constitutes an ADA issue for sight-impaired people, like my client?
Here are some other Neve sites displaying the same problem, for your reference:
My first instinct was that it might be a z-index issue? But if that were the case, then why does the mousewheel work but the click scrollbar doesn’t? That’s what I can’t figure out….

In reply to: [Download Monitor] shortcode to include description or short descThat’s the same as what the help article says, but this Default Template field doesn’t exist in my dashboard. But nevermind, I found a way to achieve it nonetheless. Thanks!

In reply to: [Download Monitor] shortcode to include description or short descHi @cristianraiber, understood, I’m not expecting you to write the template for me, I was hoping you could point me towards some more in-depth documentation on the subject? Particularly the part about disabling the download count text next to each download link in the list?
For example, I found the following help article in your docs that indicates there should be an option in the settings to disable the download count and show title only:
https://download-monitor.com/kb/hide-the-download-count/
However, the article seems to be outdated, because I do not see this option in any settings at the moment. Please advise?

In reply to: [Download Monitor] shortcode to include description or short descHi again @raldea89, a couple more questions about shortcodes… is there any way to disable the number of downloads appearing next to the list items in the [downloads] shortcode? Or can I modify the template you made for me to do so?
Also wondering if there is a way to set orderby to title and order to asc in the custom template as well? Can you point me towards some documentation for this? Thanks so much for your guidance.
@jaimeimagely Yes, worked perfectly, thank you!

In reply to: [Download Monitor] shortcode to include description or short descHi @raldea89 yes I tried putting the custom template there and it did not work yesterday, but it appears to be working today when I tested it again, so it was likely a caching issue yesterday. Thanks for following up! Here’s screenshots for your reference just in case… https://imgur.com/a/hV88IQs
Thanks so much!

In reply to: [Download Monitor] shortcode to include description or short desc@raldea89 This method works great if I use the template=”mytemplate” in the [downloads] shortcode. However, your instructions on how to make it the default template in the settings doesn’t seem to work. The instruction text below the box you reference says “Choose which template is used for?
[download]
?shortcodes by default (this can be overridden by the?format
?argument).” – which to me means it overrides the “download” shortcode, rather than the “downloadS” shortcode – and when I visit the TEMPLATES tab under General Settings, it says “None of Download Monitor’s output templates are being overridden by your theme.” – is there a way to override the “downloadS” template somewhere in the settings instead?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Download Monitor] shortcode to include description or short descHi @raldea89 Thank you so much, this makes perfect sense. I’ll give it a shot and report back if there are any issues. Thanks so much for your guidance, this is great.
