Thanks, yeah, I decided to go down the path of creating individual pages to link to, which isn’t ideal for future updates if my client wants to add a new gallery, but it is a much nicer UI.
Just checking, is my first idea not a possibility either, providing some sort of anchor links in the albums so that when the galleries load, the page jumps to the start of the gallery rather than the top of the page?
Thoughts?

In reply to: Notifications not workingOk last piece of the puzzle and I now deduce that this isn’t really a WordPress issue, it’s a G Suite issue. It seems my G Suite accounts have blocked the ip address that my cPanel is sending the wordpress email through… however because I have a legacy G Suite Account, I don’t have the ability to whitelist any IP address… so I am at an impasse, but at least I know what the issue is. If anyone has any ideas how to get G Suite to whitelist IP addresses without a paid G Suite account, I’d love to hear!

In reply to: Notifications not workingHello again, I’ve troubleshooted a bit further:
1. disabled all plugins, made no difference.
2. tried changing admin address to my gmail account, and the notification FINALLY came through. So then I tried changing the admin address again to either one of my email addresses that is setup through G Suite, and that’s when the issue occurs. I tried two different domain names. So it seems to be a G Suite specific issue? Which is strange because the admin address I used to setup the multisite initially IS a G Suite address and I was getting notifications just fine a few months ago… So I’m at a loss, but at least I think I’ve narrowed down where the conflict might be. GMail is fine, G Suite won’t work…
anyone have any thoughts? this one is a mystery…
thanks @prashantrai, I tried both of your suggestions, neither of which worked, unfortunately. So I deactivated and uninstalled the plugin, then reinstalled it, and after experimenting with a few different settings combinations, it seems to be working on all sites within the multisite now. So I guess we can chalk it up to a faulty or wonky initial installation. Thanks for your help anyway.
@gabyimagely that would be greatly appreciated for any future updates, thank you.
hi @mihaiimagely I appreciate why the change was made, as I understand the need to comply with other open-source assets. However, I would have thought SOME consideration would have been given to the multitude of people who were using your plugin AS IT WAS ALREADY SETUP, to aid them in the conversion process. I now have THOUSANDS of images that I need to go in and update the captions all by hand. It would have been nice if your developers somehow accounted for this in the update. i.e. by offering some sort of import/export processor, or allowing for a place in the album settings whereby we could CHOOSE the source of the displayed caption so as to avoid HOURS of work to comply with your new settings.
So I guess my options are to NEVER update this plugin again, or to waste hours updating everything by hand. Thanks for nothing. Poor planning on Imagely’s part, frankly.
and @polywogg, thank you for trying to help, I truly do appreciate the effort.

In reply to: [Post Grid and Gutenberg Blocks] “read more” missing after updateawesome, thanks so much for your help.
Then why was it pulling the captions from the titles in the first place prior to the 3.3 update? I would assume most people would set their captions in the place where the lightbox was displaying them originally? So what was the expectation for all those people after this update was made, surely I’m not the only person who has this massive issue as a result of this change?
Ah crap… I literally have thousands of photos across dozens of sites using this plugin that all have the captions edited for the titles rather than descriptions. It will take me days to replace all that data. Is there no way to choose which data is pulled for the captions, somewhere in settings???
Hi @mihaiimagely I updated one of my sites that only has one small gallery so you can see the issue. Scroll down on this page, center column: https://harmaxiproductions.com/portfolio/tink/
after I update the plug-in and then inspect the lightbox image, it looks like the whole .sl-caption div is just missing???

In reply to: [Post Grid and Gutenberg Blocks] “read more” missing after updateYes I actually tried exactly that before I responded, but I also don’t have the option to edit the text there either. see screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/xC4Henh
It seems like if I was able to update to new layouts, both issues would be solved, but I can’t find anywhere to do that in my dashboard? Any thoughts?
Hello! The lightbox captions.

In reply to: [Post Grid and Gutenberg Blocks] “read more” missing after updateah ok, thanks for that, makes sense. Unfortunately I don’t have the option to edit the layouts in my dashboard? Is there some other setting I need to update first? see screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/yK6DaxJ
