Ohhhh, I see where I was wrong.
I had the homepage set for 2 sidebars so when I unchecked the force default layout, I still got the two side bars on my home page.

Yes, and this is basically how every page looks like (with right side bar).
The question is when I want to eliminate the right side bar from some pages, I need to uncheck the “force default layout”. Right?

It’s as if there are left and right sidebars and the left one is empty.

Thank you but for some reason it’s not working for me.
I have the from page display as the static Home page.
I created a page name Blog, and choose it for the Posts Page. I made sure the template is Blog and that it is on the menu.

I chose the blog option from the Templet. When I click on “Blog”, on the menu bar, I’m getting the same page with the boxes and footer widgets but instead of the homepage content, there is “Content not found” message.

@deanfp – yes i did, the second slide is 1140×395.

@ Geri70 – I think you are on something here. Both images are 1600×1000. The first one I uploaded weeks ago and the second i uploaded yesterday after I installed the latest wp version. I’m not sure what to do now as I tried many different sizes and nothing is working for me. Grrrr
