I do have the same problems. Both in IE 8 and IE 9.

When using the “compatibility mode” in IE, it looks fine again. See my post here:

i changed the nggallery.css with the one from version #1.7.3

No changes. Still such squezed thumbnails

Would like to know this as well … as the galleries (thumbnails) in the latest IE do not show properly (very small thumbnails).
