Thanks for the feedback. I have dropped a note to the pre sales contact pg on your site with some follow up questions.

I’m well aware .html_old is not a valid file extension. That’s precisely why I was going to use it….as a temporary test. If that file is made temporarily invalid, it would eliminate the possibility of that being the root cause of the issue we’re experiencing.

If the problem persists after invalidating that file, then I know it is not the root cause of the issue and I rename it back to index.html.

My fear is that you are correct in suggesting each site can only have one default ‘Start’ page. Intuitively, that would certainly make sense to me. I may temporarily rename the index.html file to something like index.html_old and see if that allows WP to display what is built there.

And I agree it would be ideal to have had the WP install in a sub-directory…though I’m skeptical that would resolve the current issue.
