    Hi@diana_burduja,

Thanks for your advice. If the images are big enough I don’t need to magnify them, such as adding “Embed code”of YouTube video. I can adjust the size the image/window and can also start the YouTube video with only a click.

    Hi@@gappiah,

Lot of thanks for your advice.

On another thread, I have been looking for a latest theme with header images rotation. I was suggested using “Theme Twenty Seventeen”. But it is also an old theme which I have used in the past. What will be your recommendation? Thanks in advance.

    Hi@mohamedkhafaja,

If I couldn’t find new theme with header rotation, I’ll go back to Theme Twenty Eleven which caters my need. I can upload photos for rotation to replace the original photos coming with the Theme.

In the past I need creating Child-Theme. I don’t whether it is still necessary.

    Hi@mohamedkhafaja,

    Thanks for your advice.

What I expect to achieve is as follows:-

    1. The photos of the front page of each video are upload to the website
    2. The photos are displayed as icons on page
    3. Clicking the icon will display its photo in full size. Then I can read its content.

The above can be achieved with “Photo Gallery Plugin”. I did it before.

What I expect to do further is “If I find it is the right video which I need, on clicking the full size photo will start playing the video.
If it is not the right video which I expect to play, I click another icon to display another photo

    Hi@threadi,

I have no experience migrating a live site to the server of the Hosting company.

    2 parts migration: (2 files)
    …archive.daf
    installer.php

    3 parts migration (3 files)
    …zip
    …archive.daf
    installer.php

But I need a LampServer installed on the new domain to run those files. I don’t know whether I’m allowed by the Hosting company to install it? Or alternatively can I install WordPress instead ?

    Regards

    Hi@mohamedkhafaja,

    Thanks for your advice.

At the very early stage I ran “Cimy Header Image Rotator”. The images, automatically rotated inside the Header, are upload to website by me. Now this plugin is no more supported. I still have it running on some of my websites.

    Regards

    Edit:

Just checked Twenty Seventeen theme. I remenber I have used this theme sometime before. It is still an old Header Rotator theme

    Hi@mohamedkhafaja,

The icons are small images upload to WP website. They are the screenshot of the front page (1st page) of video upload to YouTube, about 100 video. Clicking the image will start the YouTube video.

    Hi all,

Lot of thanks for your detailed advice.

I have been running Duplicator for long time, cloning existing websites on Internet to local server, also running “All-in-One WP Migration” in the past before using Duplicator. The cloned websites, about 40 sites, are running on 4 VMs of Oracle VirtualBox. They are not open to public. I used them as backup of the live sites as well as for testing new features to be added to the websites. I need to install Lampserver on all VMs before running Duplicator packagers.

I don’t have experience doing website migration on the server of Hosting Company. I have no problem adding a new domain. I have no idea whether I’m allowed installing LampServer on the new domain but I can install WordPress on it via “WordPress Manager by Softaculous”. Pls advise. Thanks in advance.

    Hi@threadi

No. Following link gives me some hint

How to Fix WordPress “Installation Already Exists” Issue
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_afKOwK_1T4

There is an old version of WordPress installed. Even deleting the domain, travelers.tours-video.com it is still there. I have to remove the old version WordPress manually. It is rather difficult.

Now I have WordPress installed for travelers.tours-video.com. You can browse it on Internet.

There is still a long way for me to go.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your advice.

I have contacted the techical support of HostGator. The guide replied my question unable to solve my problem. I have requested him adding Twenty Eleven Theme on the website. He couldn’t do it blaming me installing the website, travelers.tours-video.com, on /public_html/travelers.tours-video.com. I told me that I have other websites also on the folder /public_html/websites/. They don’t have this problem.

I have installed >40 websites on HostGator server, share hosting. They are now running on Internet without problem, some of them more than 20 years.

Leaving behind the only attempt, which I can try, is to install WordPress myself, including the database. I never encountered such a problem before. This is NOT my first time install WordPress either on Host’s server or on my own server.

I already have deleted the domain, travelers.tours-video.com. But it is very strange. On browser running https://travelers.tours-video.com It displays “Your connection is not private ……”

Unfortnately I forgot the steps to install my 40 WordPress websites in past, not the way as you suggested. I’ll search my database to check.

    Hi@macmanx.

    Problem solved as follow;

via cPanel of hosting company, login travelers.domain.com

    -> User -> Change password -> saved.

    exceed cPanel.

    Now on browser “..//travelers.domain.com/wp-admin/”

I can login. The only problem is unable to change username.

It is very strange to me the installation of WP seems completely out of my control. Softaculous didn’t ask me to add username nor user password.

    Hi@macmanx,

    Thanks for your advice.

It is already 18 hrs passed. Where can I find the email?.

I have installed >40 WordPress websites in the past and they are still running on Internet. Unfortunately I forgot the steps becuase I haven’t installed new WP website for quite long time. According to my recollection I have to create database, username and user password on Terminal. I didn’t need help from hosting providers, Godaddy and HostGator (now), in the past.

Your link is one of the methods installing WordPress. There are several methods, such as Quickinstall, 3rd party software, etc.

    Hi@jamesmarsland

    OK. I’ll try. I’m now collecting infomation of all video/slideshows uploard to YouTube on its websites. They can be classified to following categories;

    1. Travel in Europe : England, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Swiss, Austria, France, etc.
    2. Travel in USA, including Hawaii, and Canada
    3. Travel in South East Asia : Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia etc.
    4. Travel in China
    5. Family photo slideshows.

I’m now considering how to put them on my website. Do you have any suggestion?

    Regards
