In reply to: Seeking advice on designing a website to present slideshowsHi@jamesmarsland
Thanks for your further advice. I’ll try your version.On Internet searching I found “SimpLy gallery blocks”. I suppose it is a plugin? For >100 slideshows there will be many pages in the websites?
Besides I expect creating an eye-catching front page of the website. Where I can find examples on Internet? Thanks

In reply to: Seeking advice on designing a website to present slideshowsHi@jamesmarsland ,
Thanks for advice. I’m prepared to go Galley route.
There are 2 ways:- 1. Gallery Block 2. Gallery plugin
Which way shall I choose? Thanks.
At present I embed slideshows on each page: 960×540 (widthxheight). But the website will have many pages.

Hi@mohammedeisa,
Thanks for your advice and link.
“Two-part” installation, I have done a lot in the past using cPanel method without problem. Sorry I forgot the steps and unfortunately I couldn’t find the file created by me with all steps listed, in my database.
Now performed following steps;
- login cPanel
- start File Manager
- Whether search the name of the website to be copied ?
(here it is under “public_html’)
and select it - right-click and select “compress”
Then it would create a .zip file.
- Download the .zip file
Please advise. Thanks
I have no problem creating the database file and installer file.
Regards
Sorry for my typing mistake

Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/blocks/block/editor-rtl.min.css
Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/blocks/block/editor.css.
Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/blocks/block/editor.min.cssSome of my websites have “File Manager” installed. Then running “File Manager” I renamed all of them to “xxx.css.old”.
Today I received similar warning;
Low Severity Problems:
Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/blocks/block/editor-rtl.css.old
Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/blocks/block/editor-rtl.min.css.old
Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/blocks/block/editor.css.old
Old WordPress core file not removed during update: wp-includes/blocks/block/editor.min.css.oldThen I have to delete all of them on “File Manager”. I don’t know whether they will be needed in future?
Please advise. Thanks

In reply to: How to remove Old WordPress core fileHi@macmanx,
Thanks for your advice and link.
If reading the link correctly, I can remove following 3 files to solve the problem;
wp-includes/blocks/block/editor.min.css
wp-includes/blocks/block/editor-rtl.min.css
wp-includes/blocks/block/editor-rtl.cssI can easily remove them via FileManager
But not all my wordpress sites have FileManager installed. If NO how can I find and delete those 3 files?
Thanks

In reply to: How to stop malicious user-agentsHi@wpprovider,
Further to my previous dialogue.
Just contacted the hosting company, Hostgator. In replying my problem encountered they said that “As a hosting provider we do not assist in removing malware”. They suggested me to subscribe “Sitelock”, their product.
Wordfence can do the job, detecting the intruders and stop them from attacking my websites. Sitelock do the same job.
Conclusion: no assistance will be provided by the hosting company in this respect.

Just read following link;
Continuous Security Monitoring using ModSecurity & ELK
https://www.claranet.com/us/blog/2020-10-30-continuous-security-monitoring-using-modsecurity-elkModSecurity is for monitoring. Wordfence can do similar job, recording all attacks in full details. But I expect to stop those attackers before reaching my websites. I have 40 websites running Internet, but non of them for business.

Is it “modsecurity.org”?
It is very strange when I browsed;
https://www.modsecurity.org/
Trustwave is announcing the End-of-Life (EOL) of our support for ModSecurity effective July 1, 2024. We will then hand over the maintenance of ModSecurity code back to the open-source community…..
