@mrtryboi can you please confirm you are still using the XML sitemap plugin?
Also, can you provide the URL of your sites? It helps us to debug it better.

@snicolosio Thanks for contacting us. We have been asked by the WordPress community to remove the previous hardcoded TID and use it as an input field. It is right now non-mandatory to add it but to ping Google, we have kept it mandatory thinking that people will not accidentally ping Google in their development or stage environments. We will observe the feedback and make the Google ping function anonymous if the community wants it like that. Thanks for participating in the contribution. The new version deployment is on the cards, once you update to the latest version, the issue will be fixed.

@algopoco there is the field on the plugin settings page to add Google Analytics TID.

The sitemap is not just for Google but for most search engines. There are many uses of Sitemaps, such as
– URL list: A complete list of your website URLs which you would like to show users and search engines
– Priority: Give the crawler a sense of selection, which are your priority pages and which can be held off
– Details information to search engines with extra tags such as lastmod and changefreq
– To track search engine bot activity
– It shows the hierarchy of your websites, easier to understand and crawl
– Auto update: it gives an auto-update notification to the search engine for the latest changes and crawl

The XML Sitemaps plugin accomplishes all the above and will create a sitemap for your site.

1. The misc sitemap is the default sitemap of the plugin and we are including the homepage in the misc sitemap. so we cannot prevent that behaviour as that is the default behaviour.

2. The new version deployment is on the cards and the link https://digitalburbank.com/sitemap-tax–1.xml will be automatically removed if there is no taxonomy available in the upcoming release.

3. It’s the plugin’s default behaviour to group the pages and post by year and month. So we cannot have the feasibility to remove the groups.
