In addition to the above.. I just want to point out.. and I mean this sincerely as a way to maybe make some improvements to the theme. This site has like 6 plugins.. akismet, wordfence, seopress, robots txt editor, and wp forms. There is nothing else and the site is basically text with an image here and there. Actually two slider images and one page image.. so nothing heavy.. I am not complaining of the time, but I have used themes that were 400ms load time and a straight A rating. So, again, just saying maybe by looking at this you can enhance a great theme.

Thanks for the help but I went with another plugin that now validates twitter card checker.

I can’t add anything the damn plugin is suppose to do it all.. What the hell is going on here.. Do you people know your own plugin?

every page. In your code it speciifies an OG_image and a twitter image: It should not matter what page or post you test the code from your plugin exists in the post. Therefore should not twitter see the image link in the code? It’s there..

What? If you read the above it says I already tested it in both places.. It says it won’t validate. Not sure why you would tell me to validate it and let you know if I have any more problems.. it also indicated the website in the post.. ????

Again, thanks for the reply.. However, that code above is most definitely being generated by Blog2Social. When I deactivate your plugin it goes away.

I have nothing else, no other plugin that would add that data to my site.

I have tested pretty much everything I can think of everywhere there is..

Thanks for the reply.. I am able to post a tweet at twitter and it has the information it needs and yes I did select the meta tag settings. If you look at my website and then check source code you can see that your code is there.

The problem is not that it won’t post to twitter it is that twitter itself does not validate the card on the dev twitter card check.. If you google that you will get to the twitter card checker. Please put in my url above and see the out put. It does not match the meta information at my site.

Now this could be a caching issues on the web.. maybe but then when I check it some place else it says that it cannot find the twitter image and reverts back to the OG_image as fallback. Thankfully they are the same otherwise twitter would be using facebooks image..

I am curious if the twitter imagesrc would fix this issue..

I think with your plugin since the posts to twitter and facebook work people are just happy with that. However, the settings should also provide the required information for things like messenger, whatsapp, slack, discord, etc.. link previews and right now this plugin does not provide previews for links in some of those.

The color you want to change is the EXCERPT color in blog archives. That is the one that changes the main page body text.

So Customize > Blog > Blog Archives > Style > EXCERPT COLOR

I have done that.. as you can see in this photo.. but no matter how many times I purge the cache it does nothing to the main page.

I have ultimately tried everything i can think of. but.. I just cannot change the color of the page. I am living with it.

Odd question.. could changing that meta position add anything to the site.. Once I made that change and then look at the source code I now how this:

Thanks for the reply.. I tried all that and I did get the meta position to change.. I cannot for some reason get the text color to be the same as on the Blog page. I tried it a few times but the visual customizer doesn’t show the change. I will continue to play around with that.

I wanted to make the title on the single post page smaller so I inspected the page and saw this

single .entry-header .entry-title {
font-size: 32px;
}

It was 48px, so I changed it to 32 but again in the visual customizer the size does not change. I might have the wrong CSS.. Thoughts? Thanks for the help!

well I tried again to do the summary card.. I scoured the web looking for sizes and found a few I finally opted for a 800×800 or 1:1 ratio. I picked summary yesterday at like 6pm and now it is 8am the next day and the twitter card preview is not working.. It is keeping my old settings from the first index I guess. The logs are green but show large card and the large image, not what I set it to yesterday and cleared the cache at the same ..

However,
WhatsApp and Slack seems to be doing the correct things.

I just don’t get it.. Trying to get this done has eaten up a lot of time for just stupid twitter card. However, something tells me we are close, so.. looking for a final resolution. Thanks again for all your help. Just starting to get tired after a week.

The width and height you specify in an image tag should be the same as the source image. If you want to resize an image in the browser, use the CSS width and height properties.

I would like to be using the summary card not full image. Can you tell me exactly what size I need that to be so that I can use the smaller card and not that huge testing image? I appreciate it!
