  • You need to find this folder wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache

    Change the permissions to 777. If you do not have this folder create it.

    Did you create the categories to pull the feeds into?

    I downloaded the WP-Super Cache plugin and for some reason after I activated this plugin the prettylink plugin started to work.

    Can’t really say I found a solution but rather got lucky.

    Otherwise I tried every suggestion from Blair over at the pretty links site.

    I will say on the other hand, when Blair does respond he is very helpful!

    Why don’t you use fantasico in your cpanel to install wordpress. It is all automatic and takes a few minutes. there is even videos in hostgator to walk you though it.

    I used to use frontpage about 2 years ago but since I got turned on to wordpress frontpage just takes up space on my computers hard drive. Frontpage is worthless if you ask me.

    Fantasico is easy to use and my install went very easy.

    I solved my problem.

    After all was said and done I overlooked the Embedded Tag Thing Plugin and didn’t re-activate it after the upgrade and that is why the shortcode was appearing in my posts. Ater activating the plugin again I am now back to normal and can move on to learning something new.

    moshu,

    No answers at all on their site. That is why I am looking here. I figured this community here is much larger and thought I would have a better chance at finding an answer. Thank you for your quick reply.

    I fixed the above problem and then the error moved on down the page to this??? I am looking at this line and not sure where the unexpected , is

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘,’ in /homepages/37/d193440522/htdocs/knockout/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 509

    Will continue to look at this until i hear from you.

    mweinelt. Thank you for your help. Combining those lines fixed that error but now every instance in the code is seperated by a line of 2 of space so i have had to do the same thing for those too. I did this for 6 lines and then i get this error now.

    Warning: stristr() [function.stristr]: Empty delimiter. in /homepages/37/d193440522/htdocs/knockout/wp-content/plugins/wp-shopping-cart/wp-shopping-cart.php on line 2094

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /homepages/37/d193440522/htdocs/knockout/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 418

    I will post an updated php file for you to look at.

    Gamerz,
    When you re-generate your permalinks does it affect the permalink structure that you have in place.

    Would this same code work for subdomains as well?
    The way I am understanding the rewrite up there is that anything pointing at xyz.com will go to xyz.com no matter what is pointing to that domain? With xyz.com being your Top Level Domain yoursitename.com?

    And this same redirect will take care of all www pointing to //yoursitename.com?

    Sorry probably thinking too much but thought I’d ask just to make sure I was understanding correctly.

    Sorry about that, It was very late and i was tired and i just typed quick and posted, my bad.
    Anyway, I got the search form to validate per your suggestion.
    One thing I did have a question about though is that i think there was an extra closing li tag below the closing ul tag left by the theme developer. If you have a sec, could you check that out and let me know if this is correct.

    I was just reading my last post and its kind of funny to read. Again thanks for your guidance.

    Whooami,

    I indented the
    <li> tags and reloaded the search widget and it validates good now.

    Question for you though. If you look at whre you saw that error. Under the closing tag there is a </li>
    tag. It doesn’t look like it is supposed to be there. Am I right about this or am I missing something.

    thanks

    [mod: corrected the code to be visible]

    I figured as much about the ul and li tags i just wanted someone to confirm that for me. I think that was a mistake from the theme developer.

    Well, My site passes now, thank you for confirming the ul and li tags. However, I changed them just like you suggested and went from 2 errors back up to 10 errors when i revalidated.

    Do the
    <li> and </li>
    tags have to be indented just like this or does it just have to be on the next line?

    <ul>
    <li>
          <form>
          </form>
       </li>
    </ul>

    I just removed the search widget and now it is perfect.
    I don’t have all my articles from my previous blog posted yet so once i get my 50 or so articles I wrote on this one then the search form will be useful.

    Thank you for all of your help Whooami!!! Notice I spelled it right this time. Now i can finally go to bed and get a good nights sleep.

    Thanks

    I spelled your name wrong on purpose just to give you shit for the pop up comment.

    Anyway, going through and validating everything and fixing little errors here and there.

    It still shows validation errors for opening and closing html tags that should be there. Not sure why it is continuing to call it an error.
