“I’ve said multiple times that the plugin does split the order into multiple packages if the weight exceeds 20kg for each package.”
I’ve contacted Royal Mail. They made it very clear – their shipping options cannot and do not spilt orders in to 20kg packages OR impose 20kg limits.
Your plugin is broken and the price calculations are wrong. Why is this marked as resolved when the plugin in broken and still hasn’t been updated?
Hi @jordesign,
I’m genuinely flabbergasted and baffled at what the developers must have been thinking? Pseudo elements are rudimentary. The block editor is tota mess Im sorry to say and its absolute torture to use as it is so this will no doubt need to be yet another hack.
Would you happen to know what the custom CSS code is? Id prefer not to edit the json.
Thanks
Anybody can stick a privacy policy on their website and claim to be compliant with the GDPR.The GDPR is absolutely clear – consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. The option to consent must be clearly displayed and documentary evidence of consent must be kept.
Therefore, your plugin should provide an opt-in process during setup. Your plugn didn’t do anything of the kind. It sneaked around my private dashboard, scraped my email and spammed – without my knowledge or consent.
That is 100% not complaint with the GDPRHello Waseem,
I’ve replicated this on 3 different staging sites and it’s displaying incorrect prices and packages that are not possible. I’ve disabled the plugin because it is not reliable at all.
As you are using the current October prices, can I suggest you work through real examples on the Royal Mail website. Something is clearly wrong with the plugins calculations.See screenshots.
1 x book at 1.5kg with dimenions 275mm x 140mmx15mm
Price £30.
Royal Mail has a weight and size limit for medium parcels of 20kg per parcel, therefore the plugin should state no shipping options are available when the items go over 20kg. Instead, it is displaying prices that are not possible.
Your plugin is allowing me to enter 200 items = 300kg. This is not possible.
How is someone supposed to determine the cost of each parcel?
In eaxmple attached – we have to manually calculate shipping for 200 items = £187.84 = 15 x 20g parcels = £12.47 per parcel.
Royal mail’s price for a 20kg parcel using this same service is £10.99
No postcode applied
https://ibb.co/80FrXF8Postcode Appllied
https://ibb.co/QfmTWDgI can assure you it is not. Here’s the screenshot.
I was able to enter any postcode.
See the domestic example, it is still the same issue. You’re saying it is splittng up the orders. It is not possible to place an order for 200 items that is equal to 300kg with royal mail. The weight limit is 5kg and 20kg and the plugin’s calculations are wildly wrong.No.
If these are prices for multiple parcels, how are we supposed to know what the price of those separate parcels are? I asked Royal Mail and they told me the prices your plugin is calculating are not possible.
In my first example above using the international tracked service, if we use your explanation, then this equals a 15kg parcel split into 3 x 5kg parcels (at a 5kg limit) which is £42 per parcel. So 3 x £42 = £126. Your plugin is calculating £300.75 which is a significant difference. Every price your plugin calculates over 2kg is significantly more expensive than the royal mail official prices.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Json, Missing index.htmlI’ve done all the site health stuff etc, and it’s all good. The firewall was blocking my IP then letting me back in.
Plesk and my hosts have been looking at this further and I’m waiting on them to come back to me. Something wordpress related is using up all the memory.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Json, Missing index.htmlI did contact my hosting company and they suggested I come here for advice. They said they are not wordpress experts but did confirm it was not a hosting/server issue. They said that wp-json is the REST Api for my site and the errors indicate that somethng is happening when editing a post – possibly editing a post that does not specfy the rest api. I am repeating what they said.
My server (VPS) runs only one website plus an identical staging wp site. When I am editing posts on the staging site the logs show no errors and I have no problems with the site. When I am editing posts on the live site, the errors occur as above.
Lastly, they said other people have reported similar problems to mine which turned out to be wordpress related..

Hi Luke,
Your support form won’t let me contact you because it says I need a subscription.
Basically, all the prices in your plugin are wrong/out of date. Your plugin uses the “Over the counter” prices from April 2024 but it needs to be the Online prices. See my OP above.
Second, as I said above, your plugin forces a default package size to be entered. This is not required for Royal Mail. It should be optional. The plugin is not currently usable on a live site until the prices have been updated.
