Thank you, I am going to try it now. Will this also help with the jumping? Do you see how when you try to click the tag box at the top on mobile, the entire page jumps and I can’t click on anything.

Hi, what would I put for the CSS to fix the boxes? Are you referring to the Tag Box at the top of the page with all the recipe catagories?

There are so many articles online about this, found with a Google Search. I don’t understand how the support team running the plugin cannot know about this. There is something wrong, web stories went from having multiple stories receiving traffic and then one day they all just disappear. That’s not how web stories have ever worked since they started.

Google claims they fixed the October bug, but it is not fixed as there are numerous reports of people this month receiving zero traffic or impressions. A drop in traffic is one thing, but for Discover to be showing absolutely nothing is not normal.

The community chat you linked to is also ZERO help. It does not answer any questions or give any answers as to whether there is another web stories bug or if they are working or not.

So I am just curious, since you guys run the app, did you not know that there was a bug affecting web stories and preventing them from being shown? I would think the app would have knowledge of these types of issues. It’s very frustrating spending hours creating web stories only to hear they do not work. There are numerous reports that people are seeing zero traffic from web stories right now. Do they work? Is there a bug? Shouldn’t you guys be able to find this out?

Thank you for checking in. I got the plugin working and my analytics are showing now. Hopefully they just make this part of the plugin.

I have been making stories since they debuted and not once did I ever even notice there was this “call to action” feature on the background page. So there is a serious disconnect in all of your tutorials which never even mention this.

Additionally, why wouldn’t there be a way to track ALL click throughs so our stories can be customized? What is the point of having the ability to add links in various design features if there isn’t even a way to track them. This blows my mind. You are GOOGLE, how is this not a feature?!

I put my own call to actions on each page. I don’t even see the call to action you posted in your photo, what template is this from.

I put “Make This”, “Get Recipe”, “Learn More”….and link to the article. That is the click through I should be able to track.

Again my mind is blown that a company like google would create a feature like stories and not think that the creators of those stories would need a simple way to track their click through traffic to their website (the entire reason they create Google Stories in the first place).

Ok so now I opened your zip file, replaced it with my code. Re-saved it as a zip. Uploaded it onto my site and activated the plugin. Checked my analytics and the attachment tracking still does not show.

I opened your link and it does not let me modify the code you have. I cannot copy/paste and replace your code with my ID in order to be able to download the proper zipfile.

I added the plugin and story_page_attachment_enter does not show. Do you have a tutorial or documentation that shows how to get this plugin to work?

This makes no sense, change what and where? No one uses GA yet because it’s still too limited. The plugin doesn’t even accept that. It uses a UA code so what exactly am I changing?

How can you guys get rid of the most important metric? The reason we create web stories in the first place is to drive traffic to our websites. Without this metric, there is no way of knowing if there is any click through traffic. How this is not a consideration, or how the plugin itself does not have any built in analytics truly blows my mind.

What do you mean “change my GA ID”, everyone is still using Universal. The plugin doesn’t even accept GA ID’s.

Also why is every image distorted. You should be able to crop an image and enlarge it without the image coming distorted. These are simple tasks that would take less than 20 seconds to do in Canva and they do not work properly in this plugin. Every single image comes out distorted.

The image was removed from the s3 server and hosted on my ser ver so there is no reason it should not work. Just two days ago everything worked just fine until the “duplicate” feature went missing and I updated the plugin. Now the cover images wont load.
