This plugin messes up the latest WordPress. I had to disable it because it broke previewing posts (and possibly pages), and also broke saving drafts. Also WordPress labeled the plugin as being out of date for the last 2 years. It makes sense to label it as such if the author isn’t keeping it up to date with the changes WordPress has made. Just a heads up in case you have not yet noticed these issues in WordPress.

Well switching themes at least will tell you if that is the problem, I don’t mean switch entirely but at least then you know what the source of the problem is.

The only other fix is to tell your users to change their Facebook app setting “Links Open Externally” to OFF, but really that isn’t a real fix and ends up being a hassle.

If anything, you may want to make a new thread for your issue before the moderators tell you to.

If disabling all your plugins doesn’t help, also try switching themes.

Yeah I didn’t actually look at the source for 3.0.1 so they might have made that change. Either way it didn’t help in 3.0.1 but worked in 3.0 .

janworx, If you can access the plugin folder for cloudflare and edit the cloudflare.php file, just comment out the very last line of the file. Example below. If this doesn’t work or you can’t do it, then you might have to wait. Right now I just have the plugin disabled, since I realize I am not utilizing cloudflares features at the moment.

Hello John, yes that is what appears.

I had to find my php.ini file on my server (usually located at /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini) (since I system admin myself) and find disable_functions . Then removed curl_exec from the list of disabled functions. This fixed the issue with both Social Connect and Jetpack. Jetpack recommends not disabling curl_exec . Jetpack advised me a ticket was open for this issue ( https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/37700 ) . So look out for a 4.6.1 , marking this as resolved, even though at the time of writing it isn’t entirely fixed, unless you can fix it via php.ini .

This has always been an issue, I just uncheck the box to publicize, and recheck it. It will then not publish posts that way and will use whatever is written in the box (usually the title of your post). It is annoying to have to do this every time but it works.

Yes, definitely updating when new WP versions release. Hoping they will see my thread at some point and do something about it, may just have to email them again.

But the original file says 4.5 and the file on www.ads-software.com says 4.5 , why would it modify to 4.0 ? I guess that part isn’t clear to me.

This is still an issue, please take a look, as anyone can access the config to reveal what version of wordpress a website is on.

Sorry for the late response, I didn’t see a notification come through via email.

Yes anyone can access this link and can’t be blocked using wordfence because the tapatalk mobile app will not load the posts if it is blocked.
