Just noticed this not working tonight also. Only the “Plain” permalink structure. I thought it had something to do with using WP Super Cache, but that is not the case. Hope this gets fixed.

In reply to: Can't access admin pageDo you have any security plugins installed? May want to remove them from the plugins directory (just move them down a level) and then see if you can access admin.

In reply to: [WP Default Author] Simple and EffectiveDoes this plugin still work well for you after recent wordpress updates? Just curious, thanks.
I am having the same problem still. I had to edit my posts manually if shared from wordpress to facebook by other users. If I post a story, I just choose not to publicize, and cut/paste in the format myself to facebook manually. It has been inconvenient.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Open Graph Meta Data for Facebook not always workI was stating that information because it has a lot to do with what could be wrong with this plugin since it has not been updated. I also posted the information for those who need a fix immediately and not later down the road.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Open Graph Meta Data for Facebook not always workI had to turn off “Add Open Graph meta data” and go with another plugin (Facebook Thumb Fixer).
Facebook use to have an image limit of 200×200 pixels. Facebook Thumb Fixer tells me this if I try to use an image smaller than 600 x 315
Example warning:
“Your featured image dimensions are 418 x 200 which is smaller than the minimum 600 x 315 recommended by Facebook.”My image size 418 x 200 still picks up on facebook.
I have mentioned this a few times but not sure if this is the temporary fix everybody needs. Haven’t tried anything else. Facebook changed things at the end of April which is why everyone is having problems with this plugin and nothing has been addressed/fixed since.
You are welcome, thanks for adding breadcrumbs at the right time, just launched a new website yesterday that needed it (or else I would of been doing it manually). Hope to get the pro version of the plugin in the near future for my other website(s).
Start with Gallery->Gallery Settings.
NextGEN basic thumbnails tab has Enable AJAX pagination yes/no.
If you were referring to the new breadcrumbs, I just found it under
NextGEN Basic Compact Album -> Enable Breadcrumbs yes/no.
The global settings however won’t change any inserted galleries you may have already, just tested and had to go to my page where the gallery was inserted and had to resave with the settings adjusted.
Hope that helps.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Open Graph Meta Data for Facebook not always workJust was an observation, as no one has said what other plugins they are using along with WordPress SEO (everyone’s configurations are different, which we forget at times when it comes to solving these problems).
As previously mentioned, the official facebook plugin works fine but is not up to date (or ever going to be again).

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Open Graph Meta Data for Facebook not always workI noticed that if I take out the shortlink made by jetpack and replace it with the longer permalink in the facebook post, then go to refresh attachment, it works fine each time. The shortlink (wp.me/) never picks up the featured image, it just wants to pull the websites logo or the background of the website, which neither look good on their own. This is the only workaround I have found for now until this is fixed.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Open Graph Meta Data for Facebook not always workThe developer is going to have to fix it because the official facebook plugin that is outdated still works just fine (as you are tied in with a facebook app, so assuming that is why it works still).

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Open Graph Meta Data for Facebook not always workWould the API changes have anything to do with this? API v1 was depreciated at the end of last month.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Open Graph Meta Data for Facebook not always workLast several days have not been able to get facebook to pull the proper thumbnails. This must have to do with the latest wordpress. It isn’t a conflict with any updates to plugins, though on one website where I don’t use this plugin, the featured image is used just fine. Hope this can get sorted as it has messed up our facebook flow.

In reply to: pope_cache on server – navigating to any file on server?I discovered it is a file generated by Nextgen Gallery. Not sure if any other plugins generate the same file. If I delete the file, go to a gallery (from Nextgen Gallery), it generates the file again. Not sure the purpose of the file as it doesn’t seem to contain much, so it may or may not be harmful.
