Thanks, it works now!

In reply to: 500 Internal Server ErrorNever mind. I changed my perma-link structure to month and name and now pages appear.

In reply to: 500 Internal Server ErrorRe-uploading everything worked somewhat. I am able to access the back end of the site. However there is now a new problem: None of the pages work. All I can get when I click a link is a 404 Error.
The pages and their content all appear on the back end but they don’t work as links. This isn’t a custom menu and I’ve tried deleting and re-adding them and that doesn’t work either.
Thoughts?

In reply to: Is there a point to having a child theme?Yes, that’s why I listed it underneath the twentyeleven-child folder.

In reply to: Twenty Eleven 1.1 custom header questionI have the same question Kevin2. I absolutely love the Twenty Eleven custom header rotation option but I’d like to delete all of the custom headers I previously uploaded and start fresh.

In reply to: Is there a point to having a child theme? What I currently have is:
themes
-twentyeleven
-twentyeleve-child
(style.css)Just as the instructions here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Child_Themes
outline.
The strange thing to me is that while my themes dashboard shows that my child theme is no longer listed even though I see the files still there in my file manager. After deleting and re-uploading the CSS files, the child theme shows up.[insert boggled facial expression]
Weird caching problem or Child theme problem or am I just insane? (don’t answer that last part)

In reply to: Twenty Ten custom menu drop downLet me add to this, I see what it does. This plugin will only show the child page once the parent is clicked. This is not what I am looking for. I need the sub pages to be visible when a visitor hovers their mouse over the parent page.

In reply to: Twenty Ten custom menu drop downI’ve installed this, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I’m not entirely sure what to do with this plugin.

In reply to: [JetPack – Twitter] Twitter stuck in errorI’m continuing to see the same error. If this works not even half of the time, why offer it as a feature? I was quite excited to be able to link my twitter posts to my blog but it seems like it’s not quite feasible at the moment.

In reply to: Can't connect website to wordpress to enable jetpackNever mind, I just resolved it by creating another account with WordPress.

In reply to: Can't connect website to wordpress to enable jetpackThis has been happening for me too. I’m not sure what you mean by W3TC plugins, I have no plugins other than Akismet and Jetpack installed.
Jetpack continues to say that the login information I’ve entered is incorrect, I’m not sure what other information I can give it.

In reply to: Twenty Ten custom menu drop downI know I can drag submenus to their parents in the menu screen, that’s not what I am having a problem with. The problem is that they are displayed as a list and I would like them to appear as a drop down.
Right now you see in the sidebar:
Parent Page- Submenu 1
- Submenu 2
- Submenu 3
etc.
I want it to show only the Parent link and on hover, reveal the submenu items just like it does in the top navigation.
