In reply to: [jQuery Pin It Button for Images] Images not showing on HomepageHi Marcin,
sorry for delay. Below are the details you wanted. Do you need me to re-enable ‘Front’ for you to see what maybe happening? I am quite happy to let it run for a couple of days. The theme is my own, created with Templat Toaster.URL: an english birder in france

In reply to: [jQuery Pin It Button for Images] Images not showing on HomepageHi Marcin,
I updated but it still removed images from homepage post intros. But I got around it by disabling it on Front and the pin it still works on the post images. That is good enough for me as I do not need people to pin thumbs. Many thanks,

In reply to: [jQuery Pin It Button for Images] Plugin Not Working At All After UpdateAfter the upgrade to 2.0.2 I no longer have images front page post intros, but the images are there in the posts themselves. Is there a setting I have to change with the upgrade please?
Thanks,

In reply to: Map domain to WP directoryHi YouON,
OK, I have wp set up in a directory I will for demo purposes call /dirA. So to get to it I would type https://www.mydomain.com/dirA.
I have another domain name that I would like to use with /dirA. This domain is registered elsewhere but is mapped to my hosting and is at the moment mapped to another directory called /dirB.
What I would like to do when I have finished creating the wp site on /dirA is point the domain that is pointing to /dirB to /dirA.
And I would like to know what I will need to change. At the moment the WP on /dirA is set not to show on search engines.
Thanks for your time,

In reply to: Widget Logic with child pagesHi Alan,
I tried the ‘use wp_reset_query’ and it trashed my sidebar. When I say trashed, I mean made it disappear all together.I was going to try another tack. Instead of an individual archive widget for every category to be shown on the relative pages. I was thinking of a widget that shows archive by category rather than date, to be shown in the sidebar on all pages?
I have looked for a widget to do that but as yet, I have not found the right one. If you know of one that would suite, I would appreciate it immensely.

In reply to: Widget Logic with child pagesHi Alan,
thanks for the response. I have been there but nothing worked. I gave up on the child page idea for my site anyway. I only did it because I missed the massive ‘Show in menu’ tick-box when setting up pages I did not want in the menu…D’oh!Not that is has solved my problem though. I have Pages Post plugin running so I can keep topic specific post on related pages only and not on the static homepage, which I have set in Pages Post to accept Uncategorized posts, which means that it for all intent and purposes acts like the blog index page, because I have left the post page setting in the plugin blank.
But it appears (as far as I can tell) as if Widget Logic (and all the other page specific archive widgets) conflicts with Pages Post, because I can not get it to take any pages in the tag box that have settings in Pages Post.

In reply to: Post and pages?Hurragh!!
OK I have done it. I have made my site have post category specific pages, which do not show on my homepage.
After a lot of thought, it struck me how dumb I was being. It is all to do with how you handle the old homepage (where your post go by default).
After making your homepage a static page, just do not set the post page to anything. But in the Pages Post plugin set your new homepage to accept Uncategorised posts, so you still have a blog page as home but you can control posts that have categories to go onto the relative page.
I would not usually show an incomplete site but here is a link to my new blog, which will replace all my other blogs, so I can have subject specific pages.
I am happy.

In reply to: Drag and Drop doesn't workI just tested the drag n drop for the first time since I updated and it worked perfectly. So I am wondering if you need to check a couple of things first.
Are you using one of the themes that need updating, which are shown on your update page in Dashboard?
Also check your browser settings for Privacy and security, both of these can stop uploads.

In reply to: Subscribe2 gone after 3.3 UpgradeOK, I have now fixed it. It was related to one or more other plug-in’s, which ones I am not sure but I think it may have been another subscription type plug-in I tried before Subscribe2.

In reply to: widget logic tagsIt is OK. I solved it.
I did not realise I was over complicating it. Luckily I only wanted most widgets on certain pages, so I just used the is_page(“name”) slug.
All working well now.
