Hi Anita,
Don’t worry it is relatively easy to go back to an older version.
I too have found that even 1.2.9 does not work with the Chrome browser. Version 1.2.7 does work so that is the one I am now using again.
Here are instructions on going back to that version…- visit https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-miniaudioplayer/developers/ and scroll down a bit to see the “Other Versions”.
- Select the version 1.2.7 and save the zip file somewhere you will remember
- On your own wordpress blog go to the Plugins page.
Deactivate the current version of the player - Then delete the files for the current version
- Now click the “Upload” button on the plugins page
- Upload the whole zip file you downloaded earlier
- Activate the plugin
I hope that works for you.
Regards
MarkI have tried updating again to 1.2.8 using the automatic update feature ten minutes ago, but once again it has broken the plugin on Chrome.
The plugin is still rendering the “player” on the pages properly, but pressing the triangular “play” button does absolutely nothing at all. The media file just does not play. However it worked completely fine with version 1.2.7
I will have to roll back to 1.2.7 again as my site is aimed at children who cannot read and they need the play buttons working.
I have tested it with Chrome (up-to-date) and it does not work (after clearing the cache etc still not playing)
I have tested it with IE 10 and it DOES work fine. But I need something stable on all browsers so will go back to 1.2.7 for now I guess.Regards
MarkI have rolled back to 1.2.7 and it is now working again.
Beware about updating to 1.2.8 if your site relies on this plugin.Update, Turning off the “player Animation” option in the Audio Player settings has fixed the issue.
Hi,
I am using Atahualpa theme. I tried changing to 2012 and the problem went away.
However the audio player worked fine with Atahualpa until your last update. I am so impressed with your audio player, but I can’t give up Atahualpa as it’s the most customizable theme out there!
I am tweaking and playing with the site constantly, but you can currently see the problem at https://mrbrock.co.ukOkay, I’ve tried deleting all traces of the plugin from the site, and re-installing from scratch (as that fixed the identical problem for another person
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-nextgen-gallery-images-not-showing-images-broken?replies=5
But it still isn’t working.
So I deleted it all again, and tried installing version 1.9.2 but still the same problem.
I’m stumped.
Is there another gallery plugin that somebody can suggest I try as an alternative. Would be a shame not to use NGG here as I do on all my other sites, but seems I don’t have much choice.Hiya, don’t worry about the delay, it’s so nice of you to take the time to help me out.
Yes the galleries worked fine for a number of months, I then upgraded from shared hosting to VPS, we had a number of memory issues and for a short time had to switch from suphp to DSO. We then upgraded the memory and switch back to suphp. After that the problem occured.
It doesn’t seem to be a memory issue, gd library is installed and the site manages to e-size pictures uploaded normally.
I’m stumped!Looks like I’m stuck on this one then?
Hi Zsono,
Here’s a link to one of the many galleries on the site that has stopped working:
https://wickford-infants.iscoming.co.uk/news/recent-events/time-traveller-day-february-2012Thank you so much for taking a look, my little kids at school are moaning at me every day as they want to see pictures back n the school site!
Regards
I just can’t get to the bottom of this one.
Any ideas yet?The folders created by NextGen are all 755 and the files created by NextGen (Images and thumbs) are all 644, which looks right to me.
Hi Firstly let me say that I completely agree. A wonderful [plugin that does exactly what I need it to (in theory)
I have exactly the same problem as Olaf.
I have written some instructions on “how to write a post” and have set it to dis[play in “Post Edit” and “Post New”
But unfortunately it only shows when editing posts and I can’t get it to show when creating a new post.
Hope someone can find a solution as this plugin would be a god-send!
Thanks

Thanks for the speedy response, but I’m afraid my password is just numbers at the moment so it doesn’t seem to be the problem
Ooops realised if put this in a resolved thread, I’ll re-post…
