In reply to: Theme not updatingI am not using a child theme on this site. Our major web site I do use a child theme. But the two are not connected so it shouldn’t be an issue.
I am guessing this is a pretty unique problem.
If upgrading themes is not a major issue, then i can live with it.
Thanks for your assistance!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Theme not updatingMaybe I don’t have to worry about this but I don’t like to see that something has failed.
OK here is one site: https://www.masslibsystem.org/training/
I have upgraded to 3.4 but both the Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven themes have failed to upgrade from 1.3 to 1.4. And I don’t know why.
thanks!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Theme not updatingI have tried these steps and I think I have an additional question or problem. My sites are mostly multi-blog sites with a network admin. How do you do those steps with that in mind?
I have tried and I am still getting the message:
An error occurred while updating Twenty Ten: Could not remove the old theme..
for both Twenty Ten and Twenty Eleven.
thank you for your additional assistance!Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Theme not updatingCan I bump this up? I have upgraded 3 of our 4 blogs to 3.4. I don’t dare to do our main site as there seems to be the problem of themes failing to upgrade.
I got one site to behave: upgraded to 3.4 and the themes upgraded too. But what I did there doesn’t work with the other 2.
I’ll keep looking around for a solution.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Event Calendar rss feed display problemTo jomccartin,
WP wasn’t any help but go to https://feed2js.org/
There you can create an RSS feed to your specifications and satisfaction. We now have our event feed displaying with most current information on the top!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Event Calendar rss feed display problemI am still seeking answers to this question.
We use Eventkeeper and when you click on the RSS feed button, the feed shows in the right chronological order: most current events on top.
However, when I use a RSS widget for the feed, it displays the current listing on the bottom of the list.
So in essence, WordPress “flips” the order! is there a fix for this?
Maybe a plug in? I have looked but there are quite a few and if someone knew a good fix, I would greatly appreciate it!

In reply to: Changing fonts in the post areaThat is clear, thank you.
I think what I am understanding that in order to change the font face of post content, I need to add something to the style sheet and I am not sure exactly what or where to put it.
Still exploring and seeking the answer.
Thanks.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Changing fonts in the post areaFirebug is cool and I did download it.
But I think one step is missing for me: without naming the lines, I need to know where in the style sheet the specific code is for changing the font face for post content.
I suspect because there is not an easy answer that there is no answer!
Thanks!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Changing fonts in the post areaWhile I feel on the verge of understanding this, I don’t want to try the patience of the pros. I did come up with a manual work around which will be a pain to use but it is doable.
Thanks for the posts and they might help someone else.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: "Comments off" – how to take off and leave everything elseHi again,
Just goes to show you should take one more moment to really read the stuff. Which I did and it works!
Thank you very much!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: "Comments off" – how to take off and leave everything elseHi,
Thank you for your response. I see the three times in the loop.php and I see the examples but I am unsure of exactly what to either remove or add in the functions.
I probably know just enough php to be dangerous so a little more detail would be helpful!
Thank you in advance!

In reply to: Changing fonts in the post areaHi Ross,
I figured as much but I see 3 chunks of code for font faces and wonder which one determines the content?
I probably have just enough knowledge about this to be dangerous so a little more detail could be helpful!
Thanks in advance!
