Thanks for that, i’ve managed to cut out the excess text now. However now that I don’t have the excess, the background to the text (translucent black) only partially covers the width of the slider box when the post titles are too short to span the entire width themselves.

Just wondering if there’s a way to edit it so that the translucent background remains at a fixed width (the same as the width of the slider).

Fixed it, just pasted in the file from the original zip.

I read through those but they’re still very tech-y for me – I’m a complete novice when it comes to this stuff but I know WordPress offers better customisation for your blog so I’m moving over…
