In reply to: Translate days and monthsYou are so fast in replying, thanks!
Just a little problem still:
I went to the link you gave, and I do seem pretty stupid, but I cannot find a link where to download these language files.
What am I overlooking?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Image upload buttonI did, reversed the slashes and yes!!! it works!
Thanks for the help and sorry for being so stubborn ;-(Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Image upload buttonI tried:
https://www.schippie.nl/dompics/images
and
https://dompics.schippie.nl/images
(its a subdomain), but still the same message, that ‘images’ doesn’t seem writable.I’m lost and tired, I’ll check in tomorrow ??

In reply to: Image upload buttonI used these:
Destination directory: dompics/images
URI of this directory: https://dompics.schippie.nl/images
WP suggestes wp-content, I have tried to fill that in or the wp-images, but I get the same error message.I don’t understand the suggestion WP gives for the Destination directory: c:\domains\schippie.nl\wwwroot\dompics/wp-content
It doesn’t mean that I should fill in the local path, does it? Anyway, I tried, but the slashes are stripped ??

In reply to: Image upload buttonI cannot CHMOD on a windows server, my ISP tells me all rights are 777.
And they seem to be, judging by the working of Exhibit.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Image upload buttonI tried some more and installed the plugin Exhibit. It uses the same directory that I intended for uploading pictures and it seems to work!
So I guess the rights are ok.Maybe I got the settings wrong?
Destination directory: dompics/images
URI of this directory: https://dompics.schippie.nl/imagesAny idea why I get this message when I try to upload:
It doesn’t look like you can use the file upload feature at this time because the directory you have specified (dompics/images) doesn’t appear to be writable by WordPress. Check the permissions on the directory and for typos.Greetings, Marion

In reply to: Image upload buttonAh, yes, off course. I thought I’d done that.
Thanks, I do see the button now, but I get an error that the directory is not writable.
I am on a windows server, could that be the problem?Forum: Fixing WordPress
