I have been using Excel for Mac 2011. 14.0.2 — and when I exported the file as “Windows Comma Separated” the importing began to work! I still need to solve the formatting of the “Updated date” field as many values imported as January 1, 1970 and a few others as seemingly random incorrect dates. I will try again using LibreOffice — thanks for the suggestions, great plugin, and yes I will donate.
