Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I’m also on a GoDaddy account and this is second time it has happened. Last time I got support to reset my account but as I’m going travelling for a year thats not an ideal option!
In my very noob opinion it seems to be that something in wordpress (or a plugin) is not releasing the files that are being read. It’s definetley file related as it’s on both the presentation and plugin tab that I get issues. Interacting with the DB is still fine, oh yes and there is of course the error:
From the plugins tab:
Warning: file({…removed…}/wp-content/plugins/falbum/FAlbum.class.php): failed to open stream: Too many open files in {…removed…}/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 1471
From the presentation tab:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in {…removed…}/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1749
