There’s not much to it…
1. Open the image file
2. Click on the “upload new file”
3. Click on “choose file”
4. For Replacement Options, select “Replace the file, use new file name and update all links”
5. For Date Options, select “Keep the date”
6. Select Update
7. The File successfully replaced banner displays
I don’t know how long it takes for a broken link to show up, or if it happens every time.
Here’s an example of a broken image link: https://www.scotchandscones.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/brown-sugar-bars-stacked.jpg
Here’s the updated image link: https://www.scotchandscones.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/brown-sugar-bars-stacked-square.jpeg
The correct image shows up in the post, but I’m getting the broken image link error from the Broken Link Checker plugin. Some of the links in the report have been broken for 2 months, but I just didn’t know it. What do you think is the problem and how can I fix it?
Thanks for your help!
