I appreciate your help, thanks.
I’ve sent the theme developers an email.
Still appears brown when the 2014 theme is installed.
But what messages should I be sending them?
You’ve even said yourself we can’t be sure it’s the theme so how can I get them to act if we don’t know what’s causing it?
So what info should I send them?
Last time I had an issue with my theme they weren’t all that helpful so I’d like to make sure I send them everything I can that might help.
Seems to be brown on all my pages…
“Extended query information such as the component and affected rows is not available. Query Monitor was unable to symlink its db.php file into place. See this wiki page for more information.”
How does this help me get the S2 membership plugin working?
Changing themes isn’t an option and my membership area of the site is built around the S2 membership plugin so I need to get it working.
According to Query Monitor I’m running PHP 5.3.10
What I would do with that information I’ve no clued. Not even sure what this plugin does / if it’s doing anything
I’m using WP-Radiance by Solopress
https://demo.solostream.com/wp-radiance/
Changing themes right now is really not an option.
If you are running PHP 5.4 or above, I’d suggest installing Plainview Activity Monitor.
I’d also suggest installing Query Monitor.
I don’t know what these things are
Or what I would do with them / look for.
I assumed all of them because the bulk of them got in touch. But not everyone did.
I sent out emails to all of them with an alternative way to get access because I just thought it was a problem for everyone.
Before I read your last post there I paid through PP with a debit card WITHOUT changing the theme or any plugins.
I’ve managed to pay, sign up, and log in no problem.
So now I’m very confused as to why others aren’t able to?
Any insights?
Thanks for all your help so far.
OK I will go test it….and if it works for me…then what? (I suspect it won’t it hasn’t worked for all my customers so far)
And if it doesn’t work what would I do?
It still doesn’t solve the problem of how I’m supposed to pay for it.
I only have 1 paypal account and surely it’s not going to let me make a payment and receive the payment from the same account?
1. Don’t understand what you mean by that….can you explain in plain English with no jargon please? Thanks.
But how can I test just like a user?
I’d have to pay to access it and my own paypal account is going to let me make a payment to my own paypal account…right?
P.S.
Developer / Sandbox testing it’s set to ‘NO’
P.S.
Found ‘Developer / Sandbox Testing’ and it’s set to ‘NO’1. Where can I check that? I can’t see the option anywhere.
As for 2 and 3.
I’m not sure how I can test that as I don’t personally see the error as I’m an admin and not a paying member of the membership area so it’s not displayed to me only my customers after they’ve paid and tried to log in.
I’m using the free plugin but when the problem arose I bought the pro version to get support (yet to install it though) so it’s the free version the problem is with.
I’m using Paypal.
