leejosepho – Thanks for taking the time! I looked at the articles, they were helpful but comments still were coming in. Called my hosting company (one of the suggestions in the articles) they did a little digging and it turns out the initial blog post when the theme was installed was still sitting there and that’s what was being posted to, and of course was marked “allow comments.” A bit of a “dah” moment but explains why I couldn’t stop them from coming in…I was asking for it. It can be the simplest things. Now checking my other sites to see if the same exists.
