In reply to: [In-Post Ads] The free version is uninterestingThanks for the feedback.
There are a couple benefits of using a shortcode over the copy/paste your ad code method.- The plugin serves as a central place to save the ad code. This way someone won’t have to keep the ad code in a separate file or log in to their AdSense account to manually copy/paste it into a post. Instead, they can use a simple, easy to remember shortcode each time they want to insert the ad.
- If someone is inserting the raw ad code manually, they’ll have to insert it in the text view of the post editor, not the visual view. Many people are uncomfortable using the text view and would prefer to use the visual view. The shortcode can be inserted into the post in either view.
As for the plugin not being compatible with your theme, I would suspect that it’s an issue with the ad code, or perhaps your web host that is causing the incompatibility. We have tested this plugin on a number of themes (both free themes and many popular paid themes), and have not had any issues.

In reply to: [Genesis Featured Video] Genesis Featured Posts WidgetOK, I just updated the plugin. It has a new widget that you can replace the Genesis Featured Posts widget with. The settings are identical to the Genesis Featured Posts widget except it also has a “show featured video” option.
See the plugin’s FAQ for more info on setting this up.

In reply to: [Genesis Featured Video] Genesis Featured Posts WidgetThat’s a great suggestion, thanks! Actually, I don’t think it can work with the Genesis featured posts widget. I can include a new widget that functions the same way as the Genesis featured posts widget, with the addition of adding the featured video. It would be pretty much the same check box type setting as the “Show Featured Image” setting on the default widget.
I’ll have an update out shortly that includes this.
Thanks for sending the information in the support ticket. As I mentioned in my reply, I have released an update that should address this issue. If you continue to have trouble with this, please let me know via the support ticket and I will investigate further.
Thank you again!
ScottSorry to hear about this issue, I’d be happy to help get it resolved for you.
Could you please provide the system information from the plugin (WP-CRM System > Dashboard > Settings > System Info). You can submit it through our contact form (https://www.wp-crm.com/contact/) if you don’t want to post that information on a public forum.
Thanks!

In reply to: [WordPress CRM Plugin - WP-CRM System] Excellent software and supportThanks for the kind review!
I just tried to reproduce this issue, and could not get it to happen on my end. On my site, I have only the TwentySeventeen theme, Easy Digital Downloads, and this plugin active. See this screencast: https://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbhvDaXG5x
My suggestion would be to deactivate all other plugins except for EDD and this plugin to make sure that they’re not causing the problem. Sometimes there is a conflict with another plugin that causes things to act funny.
If this plugin works as expected after deactivating all others, there may be a conflict. Activate the others one-by-one and test the site to see if the problem returns. The last plugin you activate before the problem returns is likely the cause of the conflict.
Also, if you are still seeing the problem, right-click anywhere on the screen and select Inspect. This will open a developer’s window in your browser. If you see any red error messages, make note of them as they may indicate a potential conflict.

In reply to: [Genesis Featured Video] Use with Genesis SliderAs far as I can tell there doesn’t seem to be a hook in that plugin that allows for modifying the image that appears in the slide. Unfortunately, that feature would require some custom coding to work.

In reply to: [Tabbed Account Area for Easy Digital Downloads] Clarification and problemHi there!
No, the affiliate area shortcode is for the AffiliateWP plugin. If you switch to AffiliateWP, you should be able to use this with no problem.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WordPress CRM Plugin - WP-CRM System] Search box on mobile deviceWe did realize that it didn’t work by default on mobile. There are reasons why it doesn’t (largely because the smartphone’s keyboard would cover up much of the menu and search area), so we decided to leave that off for now until we received some feedback from our users (i.e. is that something you can live with/would want to have).
We are considering optionally adding the mobile search feature – meaning you can turn it on or off depending on your preference/need. We realize organizations may have hundreds or thousands of records to search through and scrolling on the phone is certainly less than optimal.
I don’t have an exact timeframe for having this feature added yet, but I think it may be able to make it into one of the next few updates.

In reply to: [WordPress CRM Plugin - WP-CRM System] Adding notes to contacts/orgsWe decided to use the built-in WordPress comments because it works well, allows for chronological ordering and replies to comments. Plus it benefits from updates made to WordPress core rather than having to rely on a third-party update for improvements. We did consider creating our own notes/comments section, but we really didn’t see much else that we would have added to the built-in comments to make it worthwhile.
The only thing I would add to the comments section, which is something you mentioned, is adding the date/time that a comment was made. We’ll look into adding this in the future as I think it would be a very valuable piece of information.
In the meantime, if you have a specific comment that you are trying to determine when it was made, you can click the edit link under the comment and find the date/time it was submitted. We will work on an update to address this though.
