In reply to: [Sessions] Display explanationI haven’t installed any plugin for logs.
Is there some default log for WordPress? Or should I install a particular log?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Sessions] Display explanationWhich logs should I look at? Or, where do I find the logs you are referring to?
Thank you.
Yes, however that guide does not state that you can block access/visibility to the Blog page itself. It only states that it restricts Posts (within the Blog page).
I only installed Permissions Version 3.1.7 (not Pro).
Thank you for that guide link. It does show how to block Posts but not the Blog page itself.
I was able to block access to all Pages and all Posts, but not the Blog page itself.
No posts are listed on the Blog page but the Blog page is still visible/accessible with it’s background, formatting, images, and random text. Whereas, all standard Pages show up as 404 error-not found. Is there a way to block all access to the Blog page and make it return a 404 error-not found, just like the standard Pages?
I would like to block all access to the Posts/blog page to those not logged in.
A visitor not logged should not be able to view any Posts/blog page, and otherwise show a “Not available” notice or redirect them elsewhere.Clarification: Without logging in, the Blog page still shows up, the “content” of the post is listed as “You must log in to view this content,” but the title of the post is still visible.
What is needed is the whole Blog page not available. Or, any information (title, content) of each/every post not available.

In reply to: [Sessions] Remote IP sessions all 127.0.0.1That worked! Clicking “Reset to Defaults” and unchecking “Override WordPress,” saved, it stayed unchecked. The IPs in WordFence and Sessions now appear to be the real IPs.
THANK YOU! ??
Request for change: In the WordPress main menu on the left, there are three “PerfOps” menu items each with submenus. I think it would be nicer to have one “PerfOps” main menu and then everything else under that.

In reply to: [Sessions] Remote IP sessions all 127.0.0.1I clicked to uncheck Override WordPress, clicked Save Changes, the page refreshes, and at the top it shows “Plugin settings have been saved.” However, Override WordPress is still checked. I tried it again and same happens. The uncheck does not stay.
All Remote IPs are again 127.0.0.1.

In reply to: [Sessions] Remote IP sessions all 127.0.0.1I deleted Decalog plugin via FTP.
I reactivated Sessions (now without Decalog)… WordFence now shows all traffic as IP 127.0.0.1 again. And all Active Sessions show Remote IP as 127.0.0.1.
So, I will have to deactivate Sessions until it is fixed.
I hope this info helps.

In reply to: [Sessions] Remote IP sessions all 127.0.0.1After disabling Sessions and Decalog, WordFence now shows the real remote IP address.
Also note, when disabling Decalog, it still shows in the WordPress menu under “PerfOps Settings”… “Control Center” and “Decalog”.
Trying to delete the Decalog plugin gives this error: “Deletion failed: There has been a critical error on your website. Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”
