In reply to: [WooCommerce] Customer Name/Address info blankWow, never heard of Site-Specific Snippets Plugin. This is cool.
Did you do this and then put that address code in it?
Seems it is independent of the theme if it is a plugin.
Do you know if you can put css changes in there too?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Customer Name/Address info blankHa! Sorry, I know what you mean. I’ve been at it for a while but still can’t get a lot of it right.
Been too lazy to do child themes, but I’m going to start.
Thanks for any extra help!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Customer Name/Address info blankWhen you say “child plugin version of the theme function.php”, do you mean to just use a child theme of my main theme and put this in it’s own function.php file?
If so, I don’t have the child theme made yet since this is my first real edit, but I should be able to put it in the main theme’s function.php file to see if it works, right?
If not, are you doing something different than just being safe and not editing your main theme’s function.php file?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Customer Name/Address info blankDarn, this did not work for me. Did you do anything besides just put it in the theme functions.php?
Could it be because I’m in WC 2.2?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to make "calculate shipping" work?Yes, I have learned this the long way. It was misleading to have the ability to enter a zip in the “calculate Shipping” and have it do nothing.
I see that there are many plugins. I found a free one called Table Rate Shipping which is free, but you must create the tables of zips/zone yourself, no API.
And there is the one from Woothemes, but it’s $199.00. Do you know the difference between that one and the one you mentioned above?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to make "calculate shipping" work?It does have a place for zip code, but not a way to enter a different cost for different zips. This seems pretty much for defining what local zips you will deliver to for your given flat rate.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to make "calculate shipping" work?I have added shipping rates and classes. But everything in WC is done by flat rate.
If you do it by zip code (in “Calculate Shipping”), there needs to be some postal rates entered somewhere because some zip codes cost more to mail to than others, depending on the type of mail.
I just don’t see where to tell WC what to charge for shipping based on the zip code entered at the cart page “Calculate Shipping” link.
What am I missing?
Thanks!

In reply to: [WordPress Simple Shopping Cart] Send email to a customer?Yes, well all that does is kick out an email to the buyer upon purchase.
What I would have expected was maybe a button on the order like “email buyer” so you can let them know about any delays, status of a return, etc.
I’ve just started with CC, but I found that happening if the person is already subscribed.
