Re-installed and still no luck. This is actually our first blog so we aren’t transferring files. I went with the simple install and everything seemed to be OK. I was able to install and can access the admin section, but just can get the blog to show up.

Thanks for the response. Greatly appreciated. I did try to upload a new index.php file – even went so far as to download a new WordPress file and took the the index.php file from there. Still no luck.

Its installed on a subdirectory of the mm.net domain – marketingmatters.net/blog. There doesn’t appear to be a .htaccess file in the root directory. I’m actually checking with our web site host right now to make sure that the server recognizes an index.php file as a default file. I think that could be the problem. Or at least I’m hoping. If that’s not it, then I’m lost.

Thanks for the response. We have not set up and custom permalinks. We haven’t even posted anything. As for the URLs, we have the following:

I see that you got this problem resolved. I seem to be having the same issues with our new blog. Just installed the latest version of WP and get the same error message. Any tips?
