You will need to wait for the update, this is a free plugin and I work on them when I have the time. I have had too much commercial work to complete the updates and will not release it until it has been completed and fully tested. There are major changes to the plugin and the upgrade from past versions brings major changes. I can rush it and possibly break thousands of peoples wordpress sites, or do it right and release it when it is ready. My plan is to finish it this coming week, but I make no promises it will be ready by then. I have been trying to complete this update since June, the time to do so has just been very scarce.

No, you should just activate the plugin and paste the shortcode
[music-requests] into your request page and the plugin will do the rest.

Copy it into the wp-content/user-files/lang folder.

These settings need to be set on your server, add the following line
Options -Indexes
to your .htaccess file to stop apache from listing directory contents. Then they will be accessible to the users only through wordpress or if they have the direct link to the file.

Brief update after looking into the issue, the plugin would not be causing these issues unless there is a conflict with another plugin.

I will look into this and see if it is perhaps disabling the bar for the current user.The function should only run after users initially register, if this is wrong I will get a fix out in the next couple days.

The disable admin bar option disables the admin bar by default for new users when they register.

The Show on admin page loads the plugin to hide the fields when the admin goes to edit user.

I should have added a little “whats this” tooltip. Thanks for pointing that out, I will get that fixed in the near future.

Not yet, we are adding the ability to customize emails in our upcoming update. There are not plans to have templates for file types in this release however.

There were also no plans for the dashboard widget, however, if you have a suggestion I would certainly consider adding it.

Certainly looks like a permissions error somewhere. Check the wp-content/uploads/file_uploads folder and make sure the file_uploads folder is CHMOD 777.
