  • I’ve been having trouble with this for months. I deactivated every plugin one by one, with no success. Then I came across this little tidbit and figured it was worth a shot… to my amazement it worked!

I don’t know why it worked, but it worked! Thank you, GraceGray!

I’m having the same problem. Two websites/FB accounts are showing posts from months ago. Is it possible it’s not displaying post made via mobile?

I don’t know if this helps, but I was trying to customize the navigation to no avail.
Here is where I found my solution:

I’ve found a pretty nice solution to this problem. dmuir suggested a good workaround on this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/333195 I tried it, and it is perfect!

Hey, I was looking for an answer to this too and could not find any help. I tried again this week and discovered a great solution!

Take a look at this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/333195

I hope this helps, or had you given up already?

@dmuir Thank you! You solved a problem I’ve been trying to find the answer to for months!

Slimbox Plugin + NextGen set to lightbox

This did the trick! One bit more information I can add is this:
There are 2 plugins called Slimbox, when you go to “add new” plugin. One is just called Slimbox the other is called Slimbox-Plugin

I read some support form posts and determined I should try Slimbox-Plugin first, and it worked like a charm! Beautiful integrated navigation in my NextGen galleries now!

So many people looking for answers on this, most of them never get answered. I don’t understand why. Do a search for NextGen Gallery and almost every question is “unresolved” “0 replies” . I just don’t get it. Such an awesome plugin and then all questions are just ignored!? I was wondering if the only way to get this function or the secret answer was to make a donation to the author of NextGen? I thought of donating just to see if it gave me access to some “secret support document” or forum that told you how to change the navigation arrows!

I still will make a donation. But the first donation will go the Slimbox-plugin for saving me from wasting anymore time on the crazy hunt for a solution!

    Thanks a million dmuir!!

    Hey Tumpty,
I’m just getting started with eShop, but here is what I plan on doing. I’m in the US, so USA addresses are zone 1. Canada is zone 2. Those Class A rates will be for First Class. Did you know you can add some text under that shipping table? Just go to “Pages” – Shipping – Edit. Leave the little table code alone for now, and just add some explanatory information below it. For example, here’s what mine will say: (when they click the shipping link from checkout pages).

    –snip******
First Class Shipping to any U.S. address is free.
Free. Period. No minimum order. No matter how many items your order!
    ———————
At this time, we only ship to the USA and Canada.
    ———————
Shipping to Canada is a flat rate of $5.
    ——————–
Please see the product list if you wish to add Priority or Overnight Shipping. You would add these to your cart as an additional item.

    /snip*********

Then I will just make a “product” for Priority Shipping (add… oh say $6. or so) and maybe $20 for “Overnight.” I can do this because my products are all small and lightweight. I may lose a little money on some shipments, but I might make a few cents here and there. I figure, overall, it all evens out. And the customer knows I am not gouging them on shipping. Everyone hates that.

I may go into the code and add some text to that table, but it may not be necessary. You could also just remove the short code for the table from that page and just write your own explanations. You can make that page accessible elsewhere too, like on the sidebar, via a text widget.

Anyway, just thought my approach might give you some ideas for a workaround that will meet your needs!

Same problem here. On both IE and Firefox.

It happens on any of my 5 WordPress sites, all using different themes.

Thanks for the info. I will look into this further. I appreciate the information.

I’ve uploaded a screenshot of my Presentation–>Widgets page. I don’t see a Links widget here.

I thought maybe if I dragged Blogroll into the sidebar, it would give me that little menu, like the Text widget does. But, nope.

    Am I missing something?

Hey, thank you very much for suggestion about editing my sidebar. Instead of dragging my own widgets into the sidebar arrangement section, I just left it at default. Then I edited the theme’s left_sidebar.php file

This particular theme didn’t come with a links widget, but that information will be useful when I’m working with other themes in the future.

    Thanks again!

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. But if you see my original post, I did edit the sidebar.php. It only works if I leave the default widgets in place. If I drag my own widget choices there, it goes back to calling it Blogroll, rather than what I’ve renamed it in sidebar.php or categories.

I guess I will try deleting the widgets I don’t want in sidebar.php . That might be a way to work around this glitch.

    Thank you for your help.

Well, I’ve determined that it does not have to do with the 2.2 version of WordPress because I have another wordpress 2.2 site that does allow the Blogroll to be renamed LINKS.

Doesn’t anyone know where I could start to look to fix this?

It must be related to the theme, but I’m getting no answers there either.

Thanks in advance. (optimistic that someone can steer me in the right direction).
