Hope I can contribute a bit or point you in the right direction. Plugin version 1.17 and 1.18 both work, as long as you don’t use the ‘picture aspect’ (which seems to be using GD Version)

I have two sites, one is running perfectly the 1.18 version WITH ‘picture aspect’ enable, the other one doesn’t.

I could find out that the one that does run, has this version:

GD Support enabled
GD Version bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
FreeType Version 2.4.4
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled
XBM Support enabled

while the one that doesn’t, has following info

gdGD Support enabled
GD Version 2.0 or higher
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
FreeType Version 2.3.7
T1Lib Support enabled
GIF Read Support enabled
GIF Create Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled

Perhaps this helps in tracing back the issue? If the people what a non-working widget could post their version here as well, we might be able to help out GROU ??
