Yes – is it something to do with SSL?

I’ve investigated further, this seems to also affect product images too see https://www.type1active.com/shop/type-1-active-tote-bag/

Does anyone know what this might be caused by? Is it a theme or plugin issue? I’m using the Newspaper theme.

Thanks James – I just found the fault myself! Very strange indeed…. A while ago I was contemplating using a subdomain for the shop and had created it but then later deleted this.

The shop worked fine until I noticed yesterday that it no longer worked. I then noticed that there was still a “shop” folder in my public_html folder which related to the subdomain. I deleted this and now the problem is solved!

Weird that it did cause a problem the last few months and now suddenly it did. The main thing is that it’s working again :-))))

It’s been a week and globally disabling xmlrpc.php and and restricting access to wp-login.php have done the trick – thank you!

This is really bugging me now, two of my websites seem to have some sort of CSS problem. I don’t know if its just down to older browsers or if something more sinister is at play. If you take https://www.type1active.com for example, I see the CSS is all messed up, formatting is gone and only uses one third of the screen. When I access the same site with SSL it displays correctly. I’m currenlty using a PC with Chrome Version 44.0.2403.89.

Thanks Marios. Sometimes you just need someone else to point out something obvious when you’ve been looking so hard! I’ve taken your advice and have blocked xmlrpc.php and password protected wp-login.php, so will monitor and fingers crossed things will be running smoothly.

One interesting factor I noticed in the logs was repeated access attempts to xmlrpc.php from a CloudFlare IP address.

Thanks Marios, I will go with subfolder – seems logical. Then when my shop is earning megabucks I can pay someone else to worry about moving it to another server ??

Thanks for looking – I think it has something to do with the computer I was using. This only occurs from my work PC, but not from any other PC… Strange!
