True. I had a bit of a black-out – I thought I was contacting them when I clicked “Support”; blanked out on the fact that that leads to the forum. Anyhows, thanks for taking the time to give some input!
Well, now I’ve tried removing the entire folder manually via FTP and upload a fresh download of the plug-in. It shows up properly in the panel, but right away when I try start using it we’re back to the “Please wait” thing again. Although, this time around it says “Updating form database”. The notifications about upgrades remain the same. Yea, if no one has any thoughts I’ll probably just bail on this and look for something else.

Though I see now I was a little unclear in my post; I do know how to do manual installs and upgrades. What kills me is that I don’t get why the auto function suddenly dropped dead. I mean, it’s not like I couldn’t use it a few weeks ago. Heck, I even used it for another site with the same host just yesterday.

In reply to: Can't install themesI’ll chance doing a bump and hope it won’t upset anyone. Just a few thoughts on were to start looking for the error would be great! Should I ask my host? Look in the code somewhere? Maybe there’s some other forum where it might be a good idea to throw out the question?
By the by, I’ve already tried changing the permissions for the Content folder; even set it all to 777. No luck.

In reply to: Can't install themesWhoops, noticed I was a little sloppy in the translation – both of those error messages pertaining to a catalogue/directory was the same error message.

In reply to: Can't install themesI’ll chance on doing a bump, to see if there might not be someone out there with some advice on this? Or maybe I should try some other forum section?
