In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Display commentsI didn’t see a new feedback section at the link you provided (https://feedback.givewp.com/feature-requests/p/ability-to-add-custom-columns-to-the-donations-page), but I believe this post contains all the info that you might need to address our concerns. Thanks for considering this enhancement!

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Display commentsI’d like to be able to see the donor comments on the Donations page without having to click to view a specific donation. Perhaps an enhancement could be an option to customize the columns that appear on the Donations page. Mainly I want to see the Amount, Donor Name, and Donor Comment.
@benmeredithgmailcom You are an angel for giving me a number that finally let me get hold of a representative! Unfortunately, because the PayPal account is not under my name, they wouldn’t help me. I did re-read the instructions in the setup wizard and realized I had to give information about both an executive and an owner, which makes no sense for a religious organization, but I tried adding an owner (same person as the executive). I’ve gotten a spinning circle for the past five minutes or so now, so I’m not sure if it’s still verifying the information or just hung.
If PayPal Standard is going to continue to work indefinitely, then I won’t worry about setting up PayPal Donations. But if there is a sunset date for that, then I can ask our executive to call the number you provided. Unfortunately, he’s not familiar with our website, but perhaps I can walk him through that part.
Again, I really appreciate your assistance!

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Page not updatingThanks for the response! I actually didn’t do anything, but checked the page again this evening, and now it’s working! Perhaps our website hosting company flushed their server cache, and that took care of it!

In reply to: [Page Builder by SiteOrigin] Image sized incorrectly in PreviewAndrew, I just wanted to thank you for your kind assistance through all this! Wondering if the problem with the image was the file format, I deleted the existing JPG from our media library and tried to upload a GIF or PNG. When I did that, I got an error message about the server being busy or not having enough resources, but the message also mentioned that the image should not be more then 2500 pixels (wide or high, it didn’t say). So I tried using my photo editor to resize the JPG so that it was only 533 pixels high (about the height I wanted anyway), and voila! The photo was no longer being cropped in the preview. I just posted it, and all looks good: https://cincinnatifriends.org/welcome-bill-williams.
Thank you again for offering your support!

In reply to: [Page Builder by SiteOrigin] Image sized incorrectly in PreviewI’m still a bit of a rookie as a webmaster and not sure how to create a test page other than using the Preview feature. But I appreciate your responsiveness. Whether or not a blog post has a photo is not a huge matter. ??

In reply to: [Page Builder by SiteOrigin] Image sized incorrectly in PreviewThat’s an understandable distinction. ?? Perhaps I’ll publish the post late in the evening, before anyone looks at the email notification, and then see if the image truncation is just a problem with the preview. If that’s the case, then all is well. If the problem persists, then I can remove the image before anyone sees it.

In reply to: [Page Builder by SiteOrigin] Image sized incorrectly in PreviewDo you want to schedule a Zoom meeting? I can do most weekday evenings after 7 or anytime Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I just don’t want to publish the post because an email will be sent to all our subscribers, and I don’t want them to see it if the photo will be truncated.

In reply to: [Page Builder by SiteOrigin] Image sized incorrectly in PreviewThanks for taking a look! That particular post is fine, as are all the others. The problem is with one I haven’t published yet. I’m not sure if you can access the site as an admin, but the problematic post is Welcome Bill Williams (https://cincinnatifriends.org/?p=7775&preview=true). If you edit the post, you can see that the picture is 169 x 300 and shows both Bill and his baby grandson. However, if you preview the page, all you see is the grandson! I’ve tried making the image right-aligned rather than left-aligned, using a size other than medium, inserting it next to a different paragraph, all to no avail!
As far as I can tell, we haven’t set up Jetpack at all, so I don’t see Jetpack > Settings.
Your instructions were perfect! Everything is working now! Thank you so much!!
Oops, never mind my last message! When I clicked Advanced Database Updates, I forgot to click Save Changes! I now see the Re-run Update button, and I just want to confirm with our hosting company that we have a recent backup in case anything goes awry!
Sorry for the delay in responding; our website hosting company was sending the answers to my questions to the wrong email address. ??
Our website is configured to run PHP 7.2, and our server’s MySQL version is 5.7.33, so we should support your database tables.
I enabled Advanced Database Updates, but when I go the Data page, I don’t see a mechanism for rerunning the create_revenue_table upgrade. The current status is Success, and the Actions column doesn’t display anything like a Rerun button. Hos do I rerun the upgrade?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Message wrong, unable to reconfigure formJust thought I would follow up on this thread. I have disabled Contact Form 7 on our website and just use a mailto command because of the problems with the form. However, I far prefer your form because of the ability to use reCAPTCHA to prevent spam.
Any suggestions on fixing the problems described above would be most welcomed!
Sorry for my delay in responding; your reply went into my junk mail! I’ve fixed that! ??
In any case, I’m not sure what happened, but the Donate button and menu are working again, so thank you!
Thanks so much for the speedy reply! I did steps 1 and 2 in your response, to no avail. I’m not aware of any caching on our wesbsite, but I’m not an experienced webmaster. Regarding step 4, I don’t see an Updates option under the Donations menu on the WordPress Dashboard, and the plug-in seems to be up to date. However, at one point when I was performing other tasks, I did see a prompt to update the GiveWP database, and I clicked that. I believe that’s when the button/menu stopped working. That’s the only thing I’ve done since our last donation was successfully received on March 17.
