Please link me to a page where I can see the buttons as you describe them. I should be able to make tweaks to the CSS.
Hi there,
Sorry for the delay here.
It actually looks like you may have discovered a bug. When adding the purchase link shortcode to your content and selecting that it is just a text link, it should put out similar HTML to the default purchase buttons that EDD automatically puts out. What appears to be happening is that the purchase link shortcode is not outputting the
plain
class for text link buttons, though. That’s why your CSS works for the buttons EDD automatically puts out, but doesn’t for your purchase link shortcode. We’ll have to fix that on our end. For now, though, the following CSS, tweaked for efficiency from what you’ve provided, should do the trick for you:
.edd-add-to-cart.plain, .entry-content .edd-add-to-cart, .edd-go-to-checkout.plain, .entry-content .edd-go-to-checkout { background-color: #564865; border: none; color: white; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; padding: 15px 32px; font-size: 16px; cursor: pointer; }
Please give that a try and let me know. Meanwhile, I’ll log an issue to get the bug taken care of.
Nope problem at all. If you decide to use Easy Digital Downloads in the future and you are still running into problems, just reach out and we’ll help the best we can.
HI Raffalea!
Sorry for the slow reply here. Thanks for your patience and we really appreciate your kind words.
I just took a look at your site and I couldn’t find the issues you mentioned. It appears you have moved to a different eCommerce solution. If that’s not the case, please do let me know and I will be glad to help you get the aforementioned issues sorted out.

No problem!
Hi there,
What you’re trying to do isn’t possible at the moment. The approach you want to take makes some assumptions based on information that isn’t available through the email tags.
The way you’re wanting to use it assumes that either just one product was purchased, or you could specify a product that was [assumed to be] purchased… neither of which is ideal for such a general receipt. You could end up specifying a particular product in the receipt, and that’s not the product that the customer purchased. It just wouldn’t work.
What I advise instead is adjusting that line to be more of a list heading, and then display the list of all purchases below the line. It wouldn’t matter if one product was purchased or three, it would still work.

Thank you for your purchase of:
{download_list}—
The {download_list} tag will list all products that were purchased. So even if it’s just one product, it would still make sense.
And since you products are actually services, meaning there’s probably no file to download, you should also use the Downloads As Services extension: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/downloads/downloads-as-services/ Using that will make sure no references are made to downloadable files.
Please let me know if that clears things up a bit!
Hi there,
We’ll be more than happy to help, but you’ll need to open your support ticket here: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/support/ We cannot provide support for Frontend Submissions on www.ads-software.com, as it is a premium plugin.
Please be sure to select Frontend Submissions on the support form.
This has been resolved through the EDD site support channel.

In reply to: [Simple Course Creator] Is this project closed? It’s not “closed” but it doesn’t get much attention and most likely won’t get any feature enhancements. Are you having any issues?
Hi @sho-down,
That would definitely be a cool feature. I’m not sure at the moment what it would take but I can let the developers know about your suggestion.
Thanks for the feedback.
Hi @ignasyona,
I’m replying to you now on your EDD site ticket.
Alright I need to log into your site at this point.
Please open a ticket here: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/support/
Address the ticket to Sean. Before opening the ticket, create an admin account on your site for sean @ easydigitaldownloads.com. Then once I get the ticket I will log into your site and troubleshoot directly.
Go to Downloads -> Settings -> Misc (tab) -> File Downloads (section) and change the Download Method setting from Forced to Redirect.
Then test again. Does that resolve the issue?
Can you completely clear WP Super Cache caches and then temporarily deactivate all plugins besides EDD to test once more? You can immediately reactivate everything after testing. But I need it all to be deactivate when you test.
Thanks.
Hi @sho-down,
I may need to log into your site to troubleshoot. So it’s best to take this over to the main site support.
If you would, open a ticket here: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/support
Before doing so, create an admin user account for sean @ easydigitaldownloads.com. Then when you create the support ticket, go ahead and address it to me and link back to this ticket.
Then we can troubleshoot from there. Thanks!
