In reply to: [Translate Multilingual sites - TranslatePress] Position of Language SwitcherHello,
Thank you for reaching us!
Yes, this is possible, and, we gladly help you with this but, in order to do this, we need to take a look at your website.
We have tried to do this but, it is not possible as we get this error:
https://ibb.co/ryHfK33
Can you try to fix it and after, let us know so that we prepare for you the snippet?
Cheers,Hello,
If you have pre-translated content and want to easily add it to your pages, there are a couple of approaches you could take with TranslatePress.
1. **Translation Blocks:** You can wrap your page content within a Translation Block. This essentially groups your content into one single block for translation. However, be aware that any change you make to the original text will invalidate all translations in that block. Here’s how you can do it:
<div class="translation-block"> Translate <em>everything</em> <div>inside</div> </div>
Refer to our Translation Blocks documentation for more details: https://translatepress.com/docs/translation-editor/#translation-blocks.
- Conditional Shortcodes: Another approach is using TranslatePress’ Conditional Shortcodes. This allows you to display different content based on the current language of your site. It’s a more flexible method, and any changes to the original text won’t affect your translations.
Please refer to our guide on using shortcodes for more details: https://translatepress.com/docs/restrict-by-language/translation-shortcode/
Remember to test these set-ups thoroughly!

In reply to: [Translate Multilingual sites - TranslatePress] Always opening a new TabHello,
From what we can see, you are not using TranslatePress on your website anymore.
If you seek support for it, please ensure the plugin is active and working (and the language switcher is visible; without it, we cannot debug the issue).Kind regards,
Hello,
The issue you’re facing appears to be originating from a theme or plugin conflict. TranslatePress doesn’t control the styling of elements inside the menu bar since it is governed by your WordPress theme.
To isolate the issue, let’s try switching to a generic WordPress theme temporarily. If the problem disappears when using a default theme, that means your current theme may be causing the conflict.
After performing these steps, if the issue still persists, please let us know so we can further investigate this for you.

In reply to: [Translate Multilingual sites - TranslatePress] Pop up translate not workingHello,
Firstly, I’d suggest that you check for any errors in your browser’s console when you save the image and access the page where the issue is occurring.
?These errors, if any, could provide some insight into what might be causing the issue. To access the console in most browsers, you’d:
1. Right-click on the webpage
2. Then select “Inspect”
3. Navigate to the “Console” tab. Please try this out and let us know if you notice any error messages. This will help us understand the problem better and find an effective solution for you.

In reply to: [Translate Multilingual sites - TranslatePress] Current LanguageHello,
You can customize as much as you want the language switcher using this developer docs:
https://translatepress.com/docs/developers/custom-language-switcher/
Let me know if you found out what you seek there.Cheers,
Hello,
As this seems to need further investigation my suggestion would be to create a ticket at:
https://translatepress.com/support/ask-a-presale-question/P.S — Please mention this link so me or my colleagues will know what we already tried and didn’t work.
Kind regards,
Thank you for the links. I made a request to view them, please allow access, so we can view them and come back hopefully with a resolution.
Cheers,Hello,
?In order to investigate the issue further, could you please check if any errors appear in your console log when you submit your form in the secondary language (French)?
Here’s how to do this:
1. Open the form in a web browser.
2. Right-click on the form page and select “Inspect” or “Inspect Element”.
3. A new window or pane will open in your browser. Look for a tab labeled “Console”. If you can’t see it, you might need to expand the inspection pane or look under a different tab, such as “More tools”.
4. With the Console open, try submitting the form in French. Look to see if any new messages or errors appear when you do that.
Please let us know of any errors that you find. These details can be very helpful for us as we look for a solution to your issue.Kind regards,
Hello,
A possibility could be the fact that your “trp_*” tables have different collations.
Could you tell me what collation you have right now in your database? Try to access it and see if you can change it with utf8mb4_general_ci. Here are some tips: https://mediatemple.net/community/products/dv/204403914/default-mysql-character-set-and-collation.
Kind regards,Hi!
The 500 error (or sometimes a white page or “The site is experiencing technical difficulties.”) is a very general server error.
One of the first web search results says that “The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general HTTP status code that means something has gone wrong on the web site’s server but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is.”??
To debug this further, please follow these steps:
??- Ask your host to identify this specific error and/or for the PHP error log.
- Try and increase your WordPress memory limit: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/
- set WP_DEBUG to true in wp_config.php file: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WP_DEBUG and try again. See if you get any errors.
Let me know how this went and, if the issue is not resolved with the first step, what you found (please share the logs with us but, ensure you remove any information that may be compromising).
Cheers,Hello,
At this moment, TranslatePress does not have an automatic feature for initiating the translation process for new articles. I understand how this might be time-consuming given your workflow and the number of languages your site supports.
But, I think even the current flow that it should address your concerns:
Whenever a page is loaded for the first time (either by a regular user or by a webcrawler), TranslatePress will automatically translate the content and serve it. After the first time, the translated page will be saved in the database and served directly without having to undergo the translation process again if you are activating the Automatic Translation feature. This method means that you don’t need to manually initiate the translation process for each new article; just having a page visited once will trigger the automatic translation. This approach should help improve efficiency in your particular usecase.
I hope this alternative will assist you in effectively managing your multilingual content.
If you have any more questions or need further clarifications, please feel free to ask.
Best regards,

In reply to: [Translate Multilingual sites - TranslatePress] TranslationsHello,
You should be able to translate that string as well no matter if you have a pro version or the free one.
Please go into Advanced settings -> Troubleshooting tab and there, activate the: “Fix missing dynamic content” option and try again to see if you can now detect that string and translate it.
Kind regards,
