Cais,
Your answer to MagineM helped me out. I was looking for a was to sort albums inside of a super album automatically by most recently modified. If that’s not possible doing it manually will work just fine.
I have a question along these lines as well. I have all of my galleries in 3 albums. I have a pictures page that I placed the 3 albums on using the “attach Nextgen gallery” function. I selected basic compact album as display type and then selected albums as the source and selected the 3 albums to display. Currently the albums get sorted by ID number. Is there a way to change it so they are sorted by most recently edited?
It did it with both the legacy and the non-legacy versions, so I’ll try different themes and disabling plugins tomorrow. I have too much relaxing planned today to squeeze that in. ??
That is what I thought. I just need to go through and check everything.
webbrewers, Max and VesaT had the set up info i was looking for.
Vesa, that is pretty much how i set everything up. i’m using extended album view on everything to give a little detail. the only problem i am having is that when the 2nd level album is selected there are multiple copies of the galleries i put in the album. kinda odd looking, but not something that can’t be worked around
again, thanks for your help
Nope. Once the gallery is removed from its album, all of them (copies included) are removed.
When I’m using the managing albums page, it only shows 1 copy of each gallery. But when I look at the published page there are 3 copies of each gallery.there are multiple copies of each gallery in each album. Cannot tell why, and I have redone each album twice now.
Why have the titles all caps? Just for looks, or is there a more practical reason?
Max & VesaT, thanks for the help. Setting up everything like the hierarchy y’all showed did the trick. I have it working the way I thought it should except I am showing multiple galleries inside of the albums.
max, thanks for the heads up, i’ll get that fixed.
Max,
So I need to have a page with the albums on it, and three other pages that have the galleries for one album on them?I switched to the legacy version. Still not what I was looking for. Here is the page I am talking about

These are individual galleries inside of albums (trips, food and navy pictures). what I want on this page is just the albums which after clicking on one will lead you to an area to see and select the individual galleries.
Does this plugin work that way, or is that functionality found elsewhere?
