Thanks. The reviews are genuine but I’ve not had time to support the plugin recently. WP has changed the login/reg process a lot since 4.2+. However, the plugin works fine for a lot of people.. only a few have issues. Your rating/review is fair in your case but please be aware that because you are having issues, others might not.

I have a lot on my plate at the moment and will support the plugin some more in due course.

Congratulations in all of your wisdom for rating a 4 year old working plugin 1 star on a single point of reference. Perhaps next time you’d be so helpful as to mention you had found an issue on the forum where it would have been sorted.

I’ll fix the wp_login_url link shortly and get a new release out. Any more issues that you find by all means let me know

Thanks for the feedback and the adjustment to your review score. I’ll review the compatibility with third party plugins and get something going. For reference what plugins are you hoping to use with it and I’ll run some tests?

This was down to an incompatibility with older versions of WP and the issue has since been fixed.

I can’t vouch for the profile builder plugin as I’ve never used it but perhaps that’s a conflict rather than my plugin not working. All welcome email plugins use the same method to function. They override a method which has recently been changed. See this link: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/wp_new_user_notification and read the notes section at the bottom. New passwords are not sent to the user by default any more

I’m more than happy to fix it if there genuinely is an issue but the vast majority of people seem to have no problems at the moment. By all means give it some more testing or allow me to help you.

That resend email link has been gone for several versions now. I could re-add something similar again if people are interested. It would never send the email but could fire a forgot password email to the user. The reset_pass_link is new and should be populated by WP. Make sure your WP is the latest version before using this.. 4.3.1 at least.

Password recovery email sorted and a version bump released today. Please also make sure you have the latest version of WP on your site

This is for any version of the plugin prior to WP 4.3.1 where this was changed. The plaintext password is no longer sent via WP and instead a link to set their own password is. I’d suggest you upgrade your WP install and then revert my plugin back to normal for things to work properly again.

Sorry but this is a WP choice not mine. I thought things were fine before ??

I pushed live a version number bump today (4.6) which hopefully will get the changes to you. Let me know if it doesn’t fix the problem,.

I think perhaps you need to upgrade WordPress before leaving negative feedback. The welcome email does NOT contain the plaintext password any more so I expect you are perhaps using this plugin with a version of WP prior to 4.3.1 which it requires. If you’d like support please contact me via the forums or directly rather than leaving invalid feedback which may discourage others from using a working plugin.

Sorry guys but WP changed the wp_new_user_notification function again. Try the new version (4.5) which now works.
