In reply to: [Google for WooCommerce] Not fit for purposeHey @robpl1,
Thanks for the feedback!
On your app the product listing shows every single product I have even if I’ve made them Not Visible in WooCommerce or hidden them by other means because I don’t want to sell them yet or, contractually, can’t for a while.?
You choose which products you want to list across Google by toggling the?Channel Visibility?option in the Google Listings & Ads Product Feed. There are two options:
- Sync and Show:?Eligible products will be visible across Google
- Don’t Sync and Show:?These products will not be visible across Google (helpful for custom products with varying prices, giveaway products, etc.)
When you set up Google Listings & Ads, all products in your WooCommerce store are automatically added to your Product Feed, and set to Sync and show. You can change the channel visibility of your products at any time, and your product feed will sync automatically within 1-2 days.
All products set to Sync and show in your product feed will appear in both your free listings and paid campaigns.
Apparently if they’re in Woo they get listed on Google. The product listing page also doesn’t show the (Google) ID, otherwise known as the SKU which makes it difficult to see which product, when there may be several with the same title, you’re actually looking at.
The Google ID and SKU are separate, and used for different purposes. The Google ID is a unique ID used to identify the product within Google Merchant Center. The SKU is created on your side, a unique identifier for your product/store and customers used for inventory, tracking, etc.
Neither is there any way of searching the 400+ pages for a specific item. You also really do need a set-up page where we can populate some of Googles attributes with data that might be in an ACF, or your Brand taxonomy.?
You can search your Google Merchant Center products but SKU, ID, Title, Brand, etc. If this information is not being synced to Google it’s possible there is some kind of conflict on your site.
See Product Feed Information for more details.
What if we’ve already uploaded a spreadsheet to Google? Will this plugin find those?
No, products which are added outside of Google for WooCommerce will not be synced because they will not have a unique ID from your store. Products uploaded outside of the extension will either need to be manually maintaned or deleted and synced through your site.
I know there are some WC sites with over 20,000 products. This looks like it was designed for websites with only 20.
There is no limit to the number of approved products you can sync to your Google Merchant account from your store.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [Google for WooCommerce] remove gtagHi @uprisingchch,
Thanks for the question. I’m not sure I understand your goal here, you are using Google for WooCommerce to create ads, but you don’t want the tags to fire. Is that right?
This is how the ads are tracked, so I might be misunderstanding the question.
Maybe using the Google Analytics filtering feature would be helpful to exclude unwanted events: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10104470?hl=en
We look forward to your response!Hey there, thanks for your patience!
This is a known bug that our developers are aware of. We can’t provide an ETA for the fix, but there does seem to be some recent progress.
Outside of this, we can only recommend switching to a different theme until this update is ready, or even better update to the premium package to implement this fix.
Hope this helps!HI @criskolkman, thanks for confirming the logs are only showing you the products and not the shipping methods.
One thing we haven’t touch on yet is what extensions you are using for setting up your shipping rates.
Normally we would ask for your full system status report, but for now we only need to see what plugins and extensions are running.
Could you copy and share from ### Active Plugins () ### to ### Inactive Plugins () ### from your System Status Report with us?
You’ll find it under WooCommerce > Status > Get system report. You can either paste it here or share it using https://quickforget.com/.Thanks!

In reply to: [Google Analytics for WooCommerce] Stopped working – rolled back to 1.8.14Thanks for letting us know that rolling back to 1.8.14 has temporarily resolved the issue.
With 2.0.0, we released support for Google’s Consent Mode. We use the new API to block cookies for EEA visitors by default until they individually grant consent to follow European GDPR rules.
So, the drop in tracked visitors may be just a result of not getting data from your European visitors. Google claims they would somewhat fill the gaps with modeled data for the visitors who didn’t consent.
Reverting back to 1.x would result in collecting data without visitors’ consent and may have legal implications depending on the local law. You can customize your consent mode setup using a PHP snippet, as mentioned in?the extensions README.Please note that version 2.0.6 of the?Google Analytics for WooCommerce?has been released.
Kindly confirm that the issue is no more, on your end(s), when updating to it.
We highly recommend making a backup of your site, when performing theme/plugin updates, for peace of mind.
Please let us know if this helps!
Hi @wanyuh,
Thanks for getting in touch and sending your System Status Report. The analytics doesn’t normally differentiate between payment gateways like you are reporting. What may be happening is the PayPal plugin you are using:
Payment Plugins for PayPal WooCommerce: por Payment Plugins
[email protected] – 1.0.45operates slightly different than the standard PayPal Payments integration. I suggest either getting in touch with the developers, or use the PayPay Payments integration which is fully supported by our team.
Let us know how this works out!

In reply to: [Google Analytics for WooCommerce] Fatal Error on Events Product PagesHI @thewebtailors,
Thanks for getting in touch and letting us know about the fatal errors.
Glad rolling back was able to temporarily resolve the issue. Most likely, it was triggered by a conflict with the new Analytics and a third-party plugin or theme.
Version 2.0.5 has been released, we’d love to hear if you have the same issue when updating to the newest version. Please backup before installing!

In reply to: [Google Analytics for WooCommerce] buggy since 2.0.0Hey @mselrosa,
Sorry to hear about your experience with Google Analytics 2.0.
My biggest issue is with the invalid value of purchase events. Due to formatting error, the conversion value was increased hundredfold. It cannot be deleted via GA4 deletion requests as devs suggested, because it is not possible to remove numeric values, so I’m stuck with them forever.
I agree it’s a big deal and should be caught in testing before being released. With that said, we haven’t seen any reports like yours regarding the new release. If you haven’t moved on, we’d love to get more details on exactly what is happening.
Thanks!
Hey @roadlink,
Thanks for letting us know about this fatal error. Please let us know what version of Google Analytics you are using, the current version if 2.0.5.
Did you perform any other updates, or install new plugins or software around this time?It would be great if you could share a copy of your System Status Report.
You’ll find it at the top of the page under WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Download for support (after you scroll down a bit). Once you have the System Status Report file, please attach it to your reply or use a service like https://quickforget.com/.

In reply to: [Google Analytics for WooCommerce] Causes conflicts since 1.8.13HI @ubqchris,
Thanks for getting in touch, it’s a conflict!
But seriously, Google Analytics isn’t reported to have this behaviour on any other tickets, nor on a test site, so it quite possibly unique to your site.
It would be great to see a copy of your System Status Report.
You’ll find it at the top of the page under WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Download for support (after you scroll down a bit).If you have any fatal error logs which were generated while the content stopped loading, you can share these here as well, or via a site like https://quickforget.com/.

In reply to: [Google Analytics for WooCommerce] Integrate with GTM – Google Tag ManagerHey @sanderrrrr,
Good question. I think your ultimate goal here is to use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, correct?
As Feten suggested, we don’t actually develop the GTM extension so the inner workings are a bit beyond the scope of our support.
Are you concerned with duplicating your analytics results?
This option still exists, although removing the GA tag would defeat the purpose of using Google Analytics for WooCommerce: https://d.pr/i/orNQBK
could you briefly elaborate how your code integration works and where you are injecting the GA code?
Our Google Analytics code loads in the header, if this is any help!
