Initially, we haven’t put much thought of custom post type and assume all photos are either from feature or in your post. After we support custom field on image, your autocomplete looks great with the thumbs!! Happy that you like our plugin!

in a way, our autocomplete is doing that per each character you type. In our detailed page, each keyword you type and hit enter, the result will change without refresh the page. That is what stackoverflow user page is doing.

i see what u need, we currently not providing exact match as when you type we provide recommendation over each keystroke you hit. To satisfy your feature, you may need to turn off autocomplete and hit enter than we can use whatever keyword you want to perform the exact match. We haven’t provide it yet. But i will consider it.

We now provide custom text box for those fields. So you can put what you lang to it. Please do the plugin update

For site group, all you need is to install searchiq on each sites you owned for the same account in searchiq.xyz. Then you can login to searchiq.xyz admin area to link sites into its own group. Then search on each site will see others’ posts within the group you defined. If you need more help, you can email me [email protected]. We will add this part in our user guide asap.

sorry for the late response.

I am not sure about what feature you are referring to. Here what we provide:
(1) you can customize css so you can make autocomplete and search result page the way you want
(2) you can change the weight by fields in our backend admin (searchiq.xyz). That gives you some control of search ranking.

If you want to have full control of what keyword to show what result in predefined order, we haven’t provided it yet. It is in our roadmap.

I am happy that you like our plugin and even consider paying us monthly fee on it. Yes. You have touched a question that many of our users asking. As the time goes on, how we can continue to remain free as we do have cost in our end to power the cloud infrastructure in order to deliver the experience that you are receiving. I want to see if I can address this here and welcome for any feedbacks.

SearchIQ is founded because we see many of publishers are being abandoned by Swiftype for the latest pricing model change. In fact, we were one of them so we built out our infrastructure to power our own media network. Then we see people need help like us. To take care of them, we took a step further to open it up thru wordpress plugin. So, we had 0 intention to follow what Swiftype did to you all. Given I said that, we may still potentially come to the point we need to monetize in order to continue our service. We believe we have figured out a way to do that thru content recommendation across our publisher network and that can potentially help you to get traffics to your site as well. The detail of it will be released over the email when we have formed the critical mass in our end. But the bottom line is we are striving to keep this free thru better tech and business model.
