In reply to: my website has dropped traffic by 2,000 a daynot sure. all I know is the site was doing very well, then we decided to hire this seo company to take us to the next level, but then they did not seem to know what they were doing although we thought we were dealing with a big company. the truth is, they bought a franchise and the work is then passed over to india.
the site started to have trouble and we started to question things, then things went bad to worse and we sacked them. then all of a sudden within a couple of days traffic dropped like a lead balloon and it has never recovered.
I am not an seo person, but it feels like there are barriers up to stop traffic. we did find a back door to the site which was quickly removed.

In reply to: my website has dropped traffic by 2,000 a daythank you JNashHawkins. ‘attracta’ is something my hosting company said to use, and I they installed this about five weeks ago I think. The problem with the traffic started just over 14 months ago. I don’t know if my hosting company are affliated to them or not but this is the website https://www.attracta.com/ shall I remove the second sitemap, I did not even know it was there.
it is funny when you say about barriers, that is what I think is happening. my biggest mistake was hiring that seo company. the site was doing very well and then I hired them and things started to go wrong very fast and I have not been able to get back on track. instead of spending time on content, I am spending more time trying to find out what the problem is.
I did a test where I put an article on a different site and put the article on my site, and found that my site received a lot less visitors than a brand new test site.
I am wondering if they have put code in to cause problems to my site because I sacked them

In reply to: my website has dropped traffic by 2,000 a dayNo Jan, because it is not a seo problem, I believe it is more of a technical problem. for example, google is having problem visiting my site. The company that were working on my site have made a complete mess, so it is something to do with the site and not seo

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast Sitemap not being indexedI am not sure if this helps, wished i could upload images here. I have taken the following steps
on google webmaster I have gone into blocked resources
it shows the following
33 Pages with blocked resources
These resources from this host are used by your site, but blocked to Googlebot. If Googlebot can’t access important resources on your page, the page might be indexed incorrectly.
it says blocked resources are https://headlineplus.com/wp-admin/js/editor.min.js?ver=4.9.1 and https://headlineplus.com/wp-admin/js/media-upload.min.js?ver=4.9.1
it then gives me 33 urls that have been blocked which are the ones that are not showing in google.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] something is blocking my posts from being listed in googleHi, my web host claims everything is set up correctly. I have posted over one hundred posts over the past month but the only ones are showing are the onest that i have gone to google webmaster and done a fetch as google to get them indexed.
I am using divi builder. I had someone do a little work for me and then found out they had put a back door in to get into my site when they wanted so i sacked them. I then had to get someone to remove this. I have built the site from scratch, and just wondering if this person has somewhere put something in my site to tell google not to crawl it. I am cluthing at straws here but i have looked at everything else.
I put the same article the other day on a test site an hour after putting it on my site and the test site had the article crawld but my site the article is not showing in google.
I have spent over a month doing reading and cannot find the solution. I think my next solution is to go to a company to check my site and see what the problem is. I would love to know if there is a way i could do it myself to see what the problem is.
I am using yoast as my seo plugin. i changed my xml plugin to see if that would help but that made no difference.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] something is blocking my posts from being listed in googlethank you for that. I am really puzzled. friends have done test sites to see how quickly new posts get picked up and they are fine and get picked up. With mine it is very slow and i would say only one out of 50 is getting picked up. I am not sure if i have anything set wrong, i am just wracking my brains on what is wrong.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] something is blocking my posts from being listed in googleThank you for that. I changed the sitemap from yoast to see if that was the problem. It is so strange. I am just wondering if their is any coding in the site that is stopping it.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] something is blocking my posts from being listed in googlewhen i do site:headlineplus.com i am not seeing my post. example. if i do site:headlineplus.com and set it for one week, all i see is two post on panama tours and business press release archives which is not a post but a category.
There are lots of posts that are not being picked up. just an example over the past seven days include
https://headlineplus.com/pittsburgh-steelers-fans-rally-round-paralysed-fan/
https://headlineplus.com/matrix-announces-launch-blockchain-3-0-artificial-intelligence-network/
https://headlineplus.com/bannerbit-review-is-out-and-this-investment-system-looks-worthwhile/
I had a couple of people set up a test site and there posts were being picked up very quickly. It seems there is something seriously wrong with my site where it is blocking certain posts from being listed.
here is my xml file https://headlineplus.com/sitemap.xml
any help sorting this out would be great

In reply to: the middle of my site has gone small please helpit is really confusing me. i have copied an original stylesheet and replaced it and it is still doing the same. I thought by copying the style coding would have solved it but it has not. The problems seems to be, the outside where the newspapers are showing is to wide. I have looked everywhere to put the width back to its normal size
