In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything! The reason I ask is I want to know, for future reference, how they were able to get “Theme Locations” to give me options when before all it said was “Theme locations” with no options.
I’d respond to their support ticket response but it doesn’t give me that option.
Thanks again,

In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything! But I had no options under “theme locations”. I don’t know how they got those two options to show up, but I didn’t have those options, at all.
Do you know what they did to make those options show up?
Again, thank you for all your help and for sticking with me. I’ve not been having fun with this nonsense but your help is very much appreciated.

Thank you for contacting us.
We have checked the case and found that the pages were not set at Menu Settings – Primary Menu.
For your convenience we have set them for you:

I’ve given them a support ticket to change the login and pw for me, and to notify them of my mistake. Thanks for your help. Thoughts on their answer above?

In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything!I didn’t even read that copy and paste I sent you I didn’t realize that had secure info in it. I thought it was just code. Damn. I don’t even know where to change that info. I just get in deeper and deeper…

In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything!Ok, I deleted that line, and saved it, and now it’s working properly.
I’m not sure what happened. I do have an open support ticket with SiteGround and they may have fixed it for me as I gave them access to my WP Dashboard. But so far, I’ve not had a response to my support ticket so I don’t know if they fixed it or somehow I fixed it….

I have done as you asked. Changed themes, added a page titled Twenty Fifteen.
Nothing.

In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything!Well, I didn’t have a lot of WP content to save, so I just removed the original version of WP and reinstalled a new version.
Now that I’m in the new version of WP, with the same theme – Cohen, the VERY FIRST THING I did was create 4 pages.
Two days ago, when I did this, the pages immediately appeared.
Today, they aren’t. Not showing up at all.
I’m going to pull all of my hair out.

In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything!Under “Menu Settings”, it says ” Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu”
I click that box. Nothing. I uncheck that box. Nothing.
Theme Locations exists under that. I can’t do anything with that. Nothing is clickable.
I’ve tried to add the custom menu in the Appearance > Widgets – nothing. I’ve put it in every widget location available and get. nothing.

In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything!I certainly think that is what I’m doing.
Isn’t there a way to delete a custom menu and go back to the default? I’d love to just be able to do that.

In reply to: Pages not showing up – I've tried (I think) everything! What is so disturbing is that I had the ability to add pages and delete pages and add them again and they showed up in the menu just fine. Something happened that changed that, and I’ve tried everything to discover what that may be.
I’ve changed themes offered with my WordPress through SiteGround and when I change themes, the same thing – no ability to add to the top menu.
I’m trying to teach myself WP with the Lynda tutorials but this is very disheartening, and makes me wonder if I want to mess around with learning this when something seemingly so simple wastes so much of my time.

Thanks for the response. With the first link, here’s what I’ve done:
I have defined a menu and added items to the menu. I can get that done.
Skipping to “Adding Menus to the Site”, I cannot do anything with “Theme Locations”. I see that it says that you can’t do anything with that if your theme won’t allow custom menus. However, when I selected this theme, the very first thing I did was to create several pages, and they all showed up in the menu at the top of the theme.
At some point during my tinkering, I lost my ability to add a page and it show up in the top menu. I’ve spent HOURS trying to figure out why I lost that functionality.
I have tried adding the Custom Menu widget but still nothing.
I am sure this is something easy I’m missing but wtf it’s insane that something seemingly so simple is taking me hours and hours and still…nothing.
