In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Plugin deletes itselfThe problem didn’t appear after changing the login url of my admin panel. It is [resolved].
After fixing my .htacces file, I still can’t change the file permissions.
This plugin gives the option to change the file permissions by clicking on a button simply, but nothing happens, also after fixing the .htaccess file. I think I know what the problem is:
My file permissions are changeable via cpanel. Because the host is a Windows based server nad not a Linux based server, the File permissions options of this plugin can’t change from 0666 to 0644. Or from 0777 to 0755 for example.
That doesn’t work with a Windows based server. The plugin doesn’t know it is Windows based, so it still asks me to change the permissions for more security.Could that be the problem? Am I right?

Hi mbrsolution,
I did paste that code in my .htaccess file. Thank you guys.
However, I did change the login URL of my admin panel. Now I don’t have any problems since a couple of months. I can also see who is trying to login my admin panel. Some IP’s are trying to login every 10 seconds via https://www.mywebsite.com/wp-login. But that doesn’t exist anymore ?? Let those bots try out for hours…I don’t think I have to block IP’s from now and therefore I shouldn’t know why I need the .htaccess file. Although, I did follow your steps and paste the code in the .htaccess file…
Sef.
I’ve got it! Thank you.
I will update after trying it out.

Thank you for asking.
I’m not good at pro coding, I don’t know what those codes are, but I don’t have any other option, so I will try that.
@ Marcos Any updates?
Okay, guys,
My host did enable url rewrite function by editting the web.config file. I don’t know why, but ok…
They also did make a .htaccess file. It is there now under my wwwroot folder!
But still, when I want to block any IP, the plugin gives an error and sais the .htaccess file couldn’t be editted…Any help? Idea?
TY,
Sef

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Plugin deletes itselfHi mbrsolution,
I did ask it. They said that I’m not able to see the logfiles of the server. But, there is a map in my hostingspace: home/mywebsite.nl/logs/W3SVC317/u_ex141225.log (and many other logs)
But those logs dont have any (fatal) errors. Is this the right one?

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Plugin deletes itselfHi wpsolutions,
Can you help me by telling me the location of the logfiles? Where can I find them? The ones I’ve found don’t have “fatal errors”.

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Plugin deletes itselfHi
I’ve got 6 logfiles from the last 4 days from the logs directory, before my wwwroot directory. Where should I look at?

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Plugin deletes itselfHi wpsolutions,
I did not ask my host about this, because I’m affraid they will tell me it’s a WP thing and has nothing to do with their hostsystem… But I will try.
I didn’t use ftp. When I see it is deleted (2x or maybe 3x happened) I did install it via WP admin panel. It is going well for now. I did change all my passwords, including ftp and database passwords. Maybe this will help.
Do you know why I can’t scan? See reactions above please.
Ty,
Sef.
