Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Installed Themes not showing upCan you tell me whether it is a “image hotline protection” problem and, if so, how do I correct it please?
Would a clean install – leaving
1. wp-config.php file
2. wp-content folder (but deleting content/cache and the wp-content/plugins/widgets folders)do the trick do you think?
Thanking you.

In reply to: Installed Themes not showing upYes I have tried deactivating all plugins and now have actually deleted them all but without any luck. The site is https://blog.st-john.or.jp/ewordpress/. And any help would be much appreciated.
Thanking you

In reply to: None of the installed Themes workPlease I really do need some help with this. I have posted some 5 odd requests for help with various issues in the past and haven’t received any assistance. What is this forum for?

In reply to: Can't logon to either installations of WordPressThank you so very, very much. I will give that a try. I had kind of thought that that was the problem but wasn’t sure how to solve it. The second tip is also very much appreciated.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Slideshow not showing on second page of blog!I have since removed one of the slideshows and replaced it with a vimeo clip and that loads no problem on the second page without refreshing. I have noted that the slideshows work using the refresh and by clicking the permalinks. Any suggestions please?

In reply to: 400 Bad Request Invalid request.Sorted it out, thank you. I had permalinks settings set to “custom” instead of “default”. Now the error messages have disappeared.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 400 Bad Request Invalid request. The site should have read: st-johns-congregation.com and the blog is at st-johns-congregation.com/English_blog.
My question is still: Should I have installed WordPress to the default st-johns-congregation.com instead of st-johns-congregation.com/English_blog for the post links to work? And if so, if I redirect the database entry to read st-johns-congregation.com and move over WordPress on the ftp to st-johns-congregation.com should the site still load correctly and will it rectify the 400 Bad requests?
Thanking you.

In reply to: 400 Bad Request Invalid request.Yes it is hosted with bluehost and I am contacting them right now to get this sorted out. It seems that, in my infant stage of using/installing WordPress, I have messed up fierce.
Thank you.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 400 Bad Request Invalid request. No I didn’t change the DNS, just installed WordPress to st-johns.congregation.com/English_blog because I wasn’t sure whether I might want to transfer all the site www2.st-john.or.jp over to st-johns.congregation.com in the future and it is bilingual. Should I have installed to st-johns.congregation.com in the first place? Is that the reason why I’m getting the errors I am? If so, is it easy to get BlueHost to move them over I wonder?
Many thanks for your help.

Forum: Localhost Installs
In reply to: Can I save my localhost site?Don’t worry. I worked it out. Thankfully I had a Timemachine backup of both the MAMP and localhost site to fall back on. Now all is working and I will be able to export through the dashboard.
