As far as I know the database is on localhost.

Just to update – problem solved. My host claim that: “It looks like there was a DDOS attack that was overloading MySQL”.

Can the attack effect only the database and not the rest of the site?

Upgraded to 1.5.1.1 last week. I’m waiting to here from my host (which was very good and quick until now – https://www.hostm.com).

I did look around before posting. Other people had this problem right after upgrading to 1.5.1. I upgraded the day after the release and this error is just from today.

More and more I think its a problem with my host since I can see the MySql DB.
