I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you for your swift and effective solution to the shortcode issue I was facing with HurryTimer ( My favorite extension).
Your suggested filter worked like a charm, and the [current_slug] is now perfectly replacing the page slug in the URL field for the Call to Action. Here’s the code that’s working wonders:

I tried with /%postname%/ in the CTA url field but it didn’t work

I aim to track which pages lead to affiliate purchases now is working i got a “Sub id” with the slug of my page displaying on the affiliation platform but maybe i missed something simplier.

I use Pretty link and “parameter forwarding” to forward my slug to the merchant/shop.

the trouble is about SEO, when the page is visit first by google robot the url is not translated so it will be a indexed with a no translated url…
+ It use “crawl budget” because the page will be longer to load for the first time

+ i use Woocommerce

so if I understood correctly these special characters are there to avoid the translation but the problem is that in certain cases it does not replace the word as it should and keeps this temporary character,
From what I see in my SQL database it works for other languages but for some languages it doesn’t work…
it is as if the translation had not been carried out as requested on certain keywords but it forgot to replace with the appropriate keyword

Thank you for your initial response. I appreciate the explanation regarding the admin-ajax.php URL handling translation, but I’m afraid the issue persists in a manner that seems unordinary.

From what I’ve been noticing, certain backend contents, specifically plugin management tools, settings, and even scheduled tasks (wp-cron), are being processed for translation unnecessarily. For instance, URLs such as: https://exemple.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=next_recurrence&nonce=b6ce76e0c5&id=11964 appear to correspond to scheduled tasks, and their associated textual contents related to plugin management tools are being translated according to the logs.

Here’s a snippet of content that’s been translated, despite being irrelevant to frontend users:

So i got translation of some part of my WP plugin coupon in Romanian what i don’t need…
How to prevent this?

This indicates translations of settings and descriptive text pertaining to a coupon management plugin, which clearly should not be exposed or processed for translation for the frontend user experience.

I maintain numerous languages on my site and have absolutely no necessity for the backend (admin dashboard and its related contents, settings, or otherwise) to be translated into numerous languages, especially considering these translations do not benefit either the site admins or the end users in any practical way.

My primary concern is:

• Why are these backend contents being translated in the first place?
• Is there a way to restrict the translation activities strictly to the frontend UI only?

Could this continual translation of backend contents potentially lead to any performance drawbacks or additional costs (considering API usage for machine translation)?

Looking forward to a resolution or guidance on how to prevent these unnecessary translations in the backend while ensuring a seamless multilingual experience for the frontend users.

I find myself in a bit of a pickle with an issue regarding the automatic translation of the WordPress admin bar, despite my earnest efforts to prevent it. I’ve been using TRP and it has been a charm for the most part, except for this little hiccup. I’m trying to exclude the admin bar from being translated, and even though I’ve specified numerous selectors, it keeps getting translated.

Here’s a snippet from my HTML where the admin bar is rendered:

As you can see, I’ve used data-no-translation="" to explicitly mark it for no translation. I’ve tried adding the following selectors to be excluded from translation:

• #wp-toolbar
• .wp-toolbar

… and a few more variations. Yet, the translation persists. ??

I cleared cache several times and tried different browsers to make sure it’s not a caching issue. I’ve also pored over the documentation and previous forum threads, but haven’t found a solution that clicks.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue or could point me in a direction that might help me find a solution? Any insights or suggestions will be warmly welcomed!

Just by looking on google in found many of this strange term and variation…
In the url or the content, so is like when we add in exclusion setting to don’t translate some term, in some language ( russian for instance) there is a trouble with the “no traduction” so there is weird character!
