I was getting this too. You need select “choose file” first before clicking the blue button “upload 301’s”.

I had a shared hosting account with GoDaddy. I don’t believe the plugin works with a shared hosting account. I upgraded to a server, made a wild card subdomain in cpanel (*.yourwebsite.com), and then it worked.

Hopes this helps. Unfortunately, servers are more pricey. You may be able to get the wildcard subdomain cheaper somewhere else.
