In reply to: [WP Super Cache] [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Preload categories and front pagePermalink structure is –
mywebsite.com/index.php/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
Don’t ask me why it was set up that way in the first place, I have no idea. ??

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Preload categories and front pageI’m looking for the same thing. What I have found is that if I use the Preload for the most recent 100 posts, and check the option for “Preload mode (garbage collection only on legacy cache files. Recommended.)” on the Preload page, the homepage of my blog gets preloaded but then doesn’t update with the latest posts.
If I check the “Clear all cache files when a post or page is published.” option then the homepage is updated properly, however it also deletes all of the supercache preloaded files regardless of whether or not the “Preload mode” is enabled.
Now, I’m not sure but this might have something to do with my permalinks, which were set up some time ago to include “index.php” in the URL and so I’ve also had to remove that from the list of rejected strings. In any case, would like to be able to exclude the homepage from Preload. Cheers!

In reply to: Facebook Like Button not working.Same issue here, only on blog posts posed on July 8 or later, which I think is the same date I upgraded to the latest WP release.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] Podpress 8.8.10.7 Breaks RSS formattingHi – haven’t had time to do the comparison yet.
I notice it in any feed reader, any browser’s feed reader, etc., and it impacts the RSS of the website itself, not the RSS of the podcasts alone.

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] Podpress 8.8.10.7 Breaks RSS formattingThanks – understood completely (also glad your files are not the culprit) but I will need to try to find time to run that comparison and it could be quite a while (sorry!).

In reply to: [podPress] [Plugin: podPress] Podpress 8.8.10.7 Breaks RSS formattingThanks. Attempted to do that, but as soon as I unzipped the dev. version my win 7 machine went down with a corrupted CI.dll file, it’s unbootable and I’m now restoring from a system image (I hope). Now, I’m not going to say your ZIP caused it, but it *might* indicate that your file in the dev. area has a rootkit or similar virus?
Hope not, but maybe worth checking. Going back to the prev. version for now and will wait for some official update beyond 8.8.10.7, provided the PC survives :).

In reply to: Upgraded PodPress and now feed is invalidLatest update breaks all formatting in my RSS feed. I’ve reverted back to 8.8.10.6 and am going to be pretty wary of upgrading because 8.8.10.5 broke my RSS feed with the category ampersand issue.
Love this plugin otherwise, but lately upgrading has been a pain in the RSS.

In reply to: WP-Cron not firingWell, talked with GoDaddy support and there’s no data in the log files that they could find, anyway.
So… still stuck as to what’s going on…
Same issues here. Except, when I run it manually it works like a charm. Automatically – not so much. Seems to have just started only a few days ago.

In reply to: WP-Cron not firingHi esmi – no access tot he logs unfortunately. I have asked GoDaddy to investigate on their side but have not heard back from them yet.
Any idea what on the server side might be causing the issue? Permissions, etc.? Or is the list too long and wide to contemplate without seeing the error logs?

In reply to: Random 500 Internal Server Error (godaddy)I’m having the exact same issue with random Server 500 errors running a WP blog on GD shared Linux hosting.
SAME experience with their phone tech support as well. They told me that it must be a WordPress issue and that I was on my own and should debug the WP scripts! Also tried to upsell me to hosting plan where I can access the logs, but I’m refusing – shouldn’t have to pay more to a company if they aren’t helping to solve a issue that **potentially could be due to their server config, etc.**
If I deactivate all plugins I still get the error. Again, randomly and somewhat infrequently.
I’m pretty close to asking GD to move me to another server, and then moving off of GD if we can’t get this to work.
I should note that my website takes under 5 seconds to load normally. However, once in a while things get very slow and the server throws the 500 errors. This is random – I cannot reproduce it on particular pages, or with particular steps, or with particular plugins activated.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Setting expiry to shorter intervalsThanks – appreciate it.
Which field specifically is it on the Page Cache settings page? I’m asking because I don’t have the “Maximum lifetime of cached objects” field that I’ve seen on screen prints about that page. Got me totally confused. Maybe I need a re-install?

Will be avoiding this update until things shake out a bit at WP!
