You can try to contact your hosting provider and ask him to restore the lost article (if he has the backup). And, also, you can find out with the help of provider why you lost them (perhaps, some logs will be helpful).
However you can try to recall, whether you do something before articles have been lost?

If you think there is a cache issue, do you use any cache plugins? Perhaps they set up incorrectly. If yes, try to clear the cache and disable this plugin. Then check the issue again.

If the problem is in the theme, you can delete, using FTP.
The default folder of themes is wp-content/themes. So, you can try this variant.
